1992 marked the end of an era...the end of the third generation Camaro. While the car still sold well, and turned a lot of heads on the street, the car was due for a revamping. The harsh ride was wearing thin on the press and the public, and compared to the competition from Japan, the chassis wasn't nearly as solid.
With the 4th generation a year away, Chevrolet celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Camaro by offering the RPO Z03 "Heritage Appearance Package." RPO Z03 was included on 8,197 '92 Camaros, and included hood and decklid stripes, body color grille, black headlamp pockets, and a "25th Anniversary" decklid badge. Offered on both RSs and Z28s, the color combos were limited to black/red stripes, white/red stripes and red/black stripes.
