This was back in the
abandoned construction site, but
the lack of any rainfall had dried it up
a bit...
Needless to say, the
mud got a little too thick for my passenger car tires, and we
were forced to pull out the shovel.
Notice the tailpipe pressed up agaist
the quarter panel.
As a rule, you never
off road alone. So I had Jim's trusty jeep attatch a tow
strap to the
frame of the BII. Unfortunately,
the lower weight of the Jeep hindered the process...
After about eight
hours (no exaggeration) of digging, pushing, and pulling, the mud
finally let go of
my poor vehicle and let us drive it out
of the puddle.
These are two of my
friends I enlisted to help with the truck removal. Notice
their mud covered pant legs.
We drew straws, and they lost, so they
had to stand behind the truck and push...
Here's another friend of mine and myself, rather happy that we could drive home.
