This was one of the first times I had taken the truck off pavement.  We found an apparently
abandoned construction site near our college, and decided to check it out.

Runoff had left a few channels in the dirt and exposed a few rocks, so going was pretty slow at this point....

Notice the chip in the grille and the slight deformation of the bumper.  A reminder of a pine tree a few winters back...

We found a mud puddle at the base of the hill and decided to see how much mud passenger car tires could kick up...

None too shabby for having no tread.

Here's me and Jim, happily displaying the new colors of our vehicles.  His is a '98 TJ.

After we finished playing in the mud, we climbed up a nearby hill.  Here's Jim's TJ at the top.
Notice we're none too secluded from the nearby Wal Mart.

Just for some perspective, we took a few shots from the bottom of the hill...

Finished with the hill, we found another puddle that I decided to wade through.

It was a nice day out, so we let the vehicles dry out while we sat in the sun for a bit.

Jim got hold of the camera, and wanted a few more pics of the Jeep...

This is back in the parking lot of my college.  I thought the contrast between
the nice, new, shiny Blazer and the ten year old BII covered in mud was nice.
