| My two grandmas are the last remaining elders of the family. These pillars of Chan and Li are to be obeyed at all costs...at risk of DEATH BY NAGGING! Here I will compare, contrast and weigh the pros and cons of these two wrinkly old women. Gotta love 'em! | ||||||||||||||||||
| Grandma Li Large, Robust, Prone to scream (due to anger, not deafness) Likes: Monopolizing home computers to play endless games of snood and virtual mahjung. -Hitting grandsons painfully. -Eating, then blaming incurring fatness on being part caucasian/soft drinks. -Flying off the handle about little things. -Telling people that certain foods have magical properties. ie.) Mushrooms cure acne. -Telling you that she already had her first child by age 17, Then asking you why you aren't more productive -Animal planet Dislikes: Telemarketers, listening to people, being politically correct |
Grandma Chan Diminutive, Creaky, Prone to scream (due to deafness and irritation) Likes: Not having a clue how to work the TV, much less know what a computer is. -Not having the strength to hit grandsons painfully, yet hitting them regardless. -Forcing people to eat until sick. -Flying off the handle about little things. -Pretending to listen to what you're saying, when actually she can't hear you. -Having way too many grandkids and great-grandkids to keep track of. -Obsessive cleaning. -Scuttling to and fro Dislikes: Technology, English, listening to what people have to say, being politically correct |

| Quotes: Grandma Chan: " Go out to the backyard and pick the dates off the tree. Otherwise the birds will eat them. And we can't have THAT, now can we? HE WANTS CURRY! (Repetitively for a period of 15 minutes) (While watching the olympics) Don't they have any shame? Why aren't they wearing clothes?! ERIC YOU BROKE MY TV! FIX IT, NOW! " Grandma Li: " (while clawing at her purse) WHERE IS MY NECKLACE?! OH MY GOD SOMEONE STOLE MY NECKLACE! IT WAS HERE IN MY PURSE AND NOW IT ISN'T! WHERE IS IT? WHAT AM I GOING TO DO? I BROUGHT THAT NECKLACE FOR THE WEDDING? WHERE IS THE NECKLACE! IT WAS RIGHT HERE! I CAN'T FIND MY NECKLACE! SOMEONE STOLE MY NECKLACE! HOW COULD I LOSE THE NECKLACE!? IT WAS RIGHT HERE! LOOK! IT'S EMPTY NOW! WHERE IS MY NECKLACE! I HAD IT! WHERE IS IT?! (repetitively for almost 10 minutes in the car) Oh. It's right here. (after finding the necklace in her puse) " |
