• Tooltips
  If a user positions the mouse cursor over the various menu functions and buttons and waits a few seconds a, a message is displayed describing the function of the button or menu command.

• Virus
  Viruses are computer programs that are designed to damage a computer system. They are spread mainly via floppy discs but can be spread by emails and downloading files from the Internet. A good quality virus scanning software program should be installed on your computer to help minimise the risk of viruses.

• VDU Visual Display Unit)
  The computers monitor.

• WWW (World Wide Web)
  Very similar to the Internet.
  
• Zip Drive
  A special kind of disc drive that uses discs very similar to floppy discs, but with a much higher storage capacity. (As much as 2 Gb)
