  • Graphics
    Graphics can be clipart, scanned photos, digital camera pictures or any data that is in a picture format. There are many programs that are designed to edit, create and manipulate different graphics.

 

  • Hacking
    Hacking is the name given to persons who use computers to break into other computers systems. Hacking is illegal but very difficult to prevent.

 

  • Hard Copy
    A printout of data on paper as opposed to a copy of data stored on disc.

 

  • Hard Disk
    A magnetic disc used to store data. Hard disks come in a range of sizes from 4Gb up to 20 Gb. For more information click

  • Hardware
    The computer parts such as monitor, keyboard, printer and case are all examples of hardware. For more information click

  • Highlight
    Text can be highlighted by moving the mouse cursor over selected text and holding down the left mouse button. When text has been highlighted it can then be cut, or copied to a new location.

 

  • Hyperlink
    Hyperlinks are jumps from one place to another. They are found mainly on the Internet and are generally blue in colour. Hyperlinks can also be used within documents or for moving around files or documents on a computer.

 

  • HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language)
    HTML is the programming language used to write web sites. HTML can be written using any text editor, or documents can be converted using the menu system
