Dark Jedi: The reborn clone Emperor envisioned a new breed of Jedi Knight, trained in the dark side of the Force and loyal to him for the 1,000 years that he expected to reign. Evil Jedi Knights operating during the Clone Wars were also called Dark Jedi, a group of whom threatened the Bpfassh system. About nineteen years after the Battle of Endor, the Second Imperium attempted to train a new legion of Dark Jedi at the Shadow Academy. Their goal was to retake the galaxy and reestablish the Empire.

Dark Side Adepts: Members of the reborn clone Emperor's New Imperial Council, they were drawn from the ranks of the Emperor's cohorts in the dark side of the Force and were trained by him to become powerful practitioners of the Force. They served the Emperor's will and were susposed to eventually replace most planetary governors.

Dark Lord of the Sith:
Originally these were powerful Jedi Knights who used the dark side of the force. The title Dark Lord was passed down from one generation to the next, with only two Dark Lords existing at a time. The mummified remains of many of the Dark Lords are preserved in monumental temples on Korriban. Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine were the most recent Dark Lords of the Sith.

Korriban:
A world long hidden, it has been the repository for the mummified remains of many Sith Lords within great temples located in the Valley of the Dark Lords. The tombs are designed to focus and amplify dark-side energy, which permeates the entire valley. The temples' exteriors are gaurded by human skeletons, activated through a combination of machinery and Sith magic. Within the temples was an immense crystal, which held the trapped spirits of Jedi Masters who had dared oppose the Sith. Four thousand years ago, Exar Kun visited Korriban to learn Sith secrets and was tormented by the spirit of Daek Sider Freedon Nadd. Nadd destroyed the huge crystal and unleashed guardian creatures on Kun, who eventually surrendered to the dark side of the Force. Emperor Palpatine was known to frequent Korriban and referred to it as his "place of power." One of Palpatine's last visits occurred around the time of the Battle of Yavin. He eventually returned, ten years later, in an unsuccessful attempt to convince the Sith Lord spirits to halt the decay of his last remaining clone body.

Sit
h: An ancient people, they were conquered by powerful dark-side Jedi magic. In their 100,000-year history they have come close several times to vanquishing the light-side Jedi. This occurred most recently in the Sith War four millennia before the Galactic Civil War. They have remained a part of the galaxy, sometimes waxing, sometimes waning, and have maintained an unbroken line of chief practitioners known as Dark Lords of the Sith. The planet Korriban is possibly their homeworld.

Sith Holocron
: Also known as the Dark Holocron, it contained the teachings and histories of the Sith and their Dark Lords going back 100,000 years. Its complete secrets were accessible only to a Dark Lord of the Sith. The Holocron was captured from the Sith by Master Odan-Urr furing the fall of the Sith Empire nearly 5,000 years before the Galactic Civil War.

Sith War:
A great conflict, it was precipitated 4,000 years before the Galactic Civil War by the Ascension of Exar Kun as Dark Lord of the Sith. Before it ended, countless millions died, and entire systems were destroyed. The Sith War pitted the Jedi Knights against the dark-side forces led by Kun, who began by ordering the extermination of all Jedi who wouldn't follow his dark path. It ended after massive death and destruction only when Exar Kun's spirit was trapped in the ruins of Yavin 4.
