					Ki-Adi-Mundi was one of the high-ranking Jedi who served on the Jedi Council during the times of the Republic. He was present when Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn delivered what he thought was the Chosen One to the Council to be tested for admittance into the Jedi Academy. Mundi was also present during the outbreak and battles of the Clone Wars. Mundi was also one of the many Jedi who were hesitant to believe that after one thousand years the Sith, an ancient enemy of the Jedi, had returned without their knowing. Little did he or any of the other Jedi know how costly this oversight would be. Mundi was also one of the Council members who found it hard to believe that Count Dooku, a former Jedi Master and now the Separatist leader, was behind the more deadly strikes by the Separatists on the Republic. He, like the others, felt that his Jedi training would keep him from lowering himself to such a level. After seeing for himself the death and chaos that Count Dooku had caused, Mundi took up his lightsaber next to his brotheren against the Separatist movement. Ki-Adi-Mundi is a tall human-like being from the planet of Cerea. His physical attributes are very similar to that of a human with the obvious exception of his long, cone-shaped head and deep eye sockets. Mundi was discovered by a mysterious Jedi Master known only as "Dark Woman", and with the permission of his parents was taken to the Jedi Temple for training in the Jedi arts and eventually became the Padawan Learner of Jedi Master Yoda. Another interesting fact about this Jedi is that he was the only Jedi Knight to have ever served on the Jedi Council, a seat normally reserved for Jedi Masters. Despite his deep dedication to the Jedi Order, Mundi kept a Cerean tradition by marrying five wives, one bond wife and four honor wives. Ki-Adi-Mundi also fathered seven children with these wives. His only Padawan Learner was the son of Jedi Master Sharad Hett, named A'Sharad. A Jedi bounty hunter named Aurra Sing killed Master Hett, Mundi then took A'Sharad as his Padawan to complete his training.
