| Adi Gallia is a member of the Jedi Council who served during the time of the Republic. Her appearances in Episodes I & II were minimal, but her presense in the Star Wars saga is not. Adi Gallia was the daughter of two high-ranking Corellian diplomats. It was this link to the inner workings of government that gave her such a reliable list of contacts that would help her out later in life. These same contacts were what tipped Adi off to the Trade Federation blockade over the planet of Naboo. Information the she then passed on to Supreme Chancellor Valorum, who secretly dispatched two Jedi Knights to diffuse the conflict before it could get any worse. Adi Gallia did have an apprentice of her own at one point, a young human female named Siri Tachi. Siri Tachi was enrolled in the Jedi Academy at the same time as Obi-Wan Kenobi and was paired with Adi shortly after Obi-Wan was paired with Qui-Gon Jinn. As far as her outward appearance, Adi was a tall human female that was known for wearing a very striking headdress made of organic tentacles. Adi Gallia's lightsaber stance was an unorthodox one compared to her fellow Jedi. She would grip her weapon with a reversed grip so that if she had her thumb pointing up, her lightsaber would be pointing down. The only time that she is ever seen weilding her Jedi weapon is during the fierce battle on the planet of Geonosis, where she and a few surviving Jedi are corralled together in the center of the Geonosis Execution arena. | ||||||||
