Jedi Food Capsules
Food capsules are on the Belt of every Jedi Knight.  They are there to sustane them on long missions.  A Jedi will have anything from 8 - 12 of these on their belt, and are Silver, Gold, Pewter and Copper colours.  On my belt I have 6 Silver and 6 Gold.

First of all you need the pen tops.  The ones used in the film were from Staedler Liquid Roller pens.  I got mine from www.officequaters.com. They are $22.80 for a full box of 12.  As you can see from the picture on the top right I have bent the clips of my pen tops to make them fit my belt more tightly.  You can do this by bending the clip with two pairs of needle nose pliers, once at the top just below the slant in the pin and again just above the knub at the base of the pen clip.  Do this before you undercoat and paint them.  Then you need the little hemisheres that go on the base of the pen to make it look round.  I got mine from www.plastruct.com.  The ones you will need are 7/16" Hemispherical vessell Heads catalouge number VHH-14

Jedi Comlink
The conlink allows a Jedi to keep in touch with fellow Jedi when they are operating in two seperate locations.  The silencer projection matrix on the front of the comlink helps a Jedi maintain stealth in the field.  The comlink also has one or two reciever antenna, voice pick up , frequency search controls, encoder selector  silencer projectors and an inert Placklite casing
Below are a few comlinks that I have made and on the right is the Mark 1 and far right is the updated version.  This one I use with my costume
Making a Comlink
This was one of my first projects and the most fun.  All you need is a Ladies Gillette Sensor razor.  You can pick them up from a dollar store for about $3.  Dispose of the razor head in a safe place.  On the front and the back you will see some ridges these end up being your silencer projection matrix..(on the new ones they are rubber and on the old ones plastic)  I prefer the old ones because the paint doesn't come off when you use your comlink.  Fill in the back ridges with Milliput you can get this from Micromark.com.  This English modeling putty is great for this kind of job and it sets as hard as rock.

Fill in the back and sand down when dry to make it smooth.Work out if you want a single antenna or a double one (mine is a single one).  I got the bits I needed to make mine from
Micromark.com as a bag of off cut pieces of metal and make them from scratch.  Drill holes with your Dremel so you know where the antenna and voice pick up will go but don't glue them in yet because you need to piant your comlink.

Give it 3 coats of under coat and about 5 coats of what ever colour you want your comlink to be.  Allways remember to allow every coat to fully dry befoe adding another.  I usually leave it 24 hours before adding the next one.  It takes a long time but it is worth it.  Then attach the antenna and voice pick up and add the switched and dials.  I got mine from a hardware store and are just a few washers, add these to the front and back.  And finally varnish the whole thing.  Give it about 10 coats so it will really stand up to everyday Jedi life.
Jedi A99 Aqua Breather
The Jedi Aqua Breather.  First seen in Episode 1 when Qui Gon Jin and Obi Wan Kenobi needed to swim to the Gungan underwater city.  They will supply a Jedi with enough oxygen for 2 hours.  This one (like most of my costuming props) is fan made and fits in the largest of the Jedi Pouches.
Jedi Binoculors
This is the only thing that I have in my Jedi Costume that is an original toy.  This is a Jedi Binoculars from one of those Kids Lightsaber, binoculer and comlink box sets.  I will be making a cast of this one and making a set from aluminium but, I have not got around to doing it yet.  When I do I will post a picture on this page to show what the finished set looks like.  These fit nicely in one of your smaller pouches
