Interview with drac on 5-28-03
Info about the person being interviewed:
Name: Trish
Age: 22
Gender: Female
State, Country: New Jersey, USA
Favorite Horror Movie Quote: "For one who has not lived even a single lifetime, you are a wise man, Van Helsing." -- Dracula 1931.
Favorite Actor or Actress: Bela Lugosi and Vincent Price (it's sort of a tie)
Music Of Choice: Big Band, Italian and some rock.
The Questions:
NSM: So, Trish....What's your favorite scary movie?
Trish: That would have to be the 1931 version of "Dracula" starring Bela Lugosi.
NSM: And what's one of your favorite moments from the movie?
Trish: Oh, there are so many. I guess I'd have to say that one of my favorite moments is when Dracula and Professor Van Helsing are in the library and Dracula is trying to get Van Helsing under his power. He almost succeeds, but at the last moment, Van Helsing's will proves stronger. Great scene.
NSM: Give us your top 5 favorite quotes from this or any other horror favorite.
Trish: I have a lot of favorite horror movie quotes, so I'll name my 5 favorites from Dracula:
"I am Dracula....I bid you welcome!"
"Listen to them...children of the night. What music they make!!"
"Dr. Seward, my humble apologies, I dislike mirrors. Van Helsing will explain. For one who has not lived a single lifetime, you are a wise man, Van Helsing."
"To die, to really be dead, that must be glorious. There are far worse things awaiting man, then death."
"Excellent, Mr. Renfield, Excellent!!"
NSM: Who's your favorite character and/or actor or actress from this or any other horror film?
Trish: Well, my favorite characters from "Dracula" are, of course, Dracula, Renfield and Van Helsing. Dwight Frye gave an incredible performance as Renfield and Edward Van Sloan was amazing as Van Helsing, Dracula's nemisis. My favorite actors are as follows: (in order of preference) Bela Lugosi and Vincent Price (I like them equally), Boris Karloff, Lon Chaney Sr. and Jr.. They all had incredible talent.
NSM: What are your thoughts on horror sequels?
Trish: I don't particularly care for horror sequels. You can never make a sequel quite as good as the original.
NSM: If you could be the star of one horror movie, what would it be?
Trish: ::Laugh:: Well, I'd have to say that I would like to play Mina in Dracula. The '31 version of course.
NSM: Would you prefer the part of the hero or the villian?
Trish: Mina was basically the hero--well, in the novel anyway
NSM: Do you believe in vampires, werewolves, ghosts, etc.?
Trish: No.
NSM: Who is your #1 favorite villian from a horror movie?
Trish: Aww, man!!! DECISIONS!!! I guess I'm gonna have to stick with Dracula, although Boris Karloff's Mummy comes pretty close, as does Vincent Price's Henry Jarrod from "House Of Wax".
NSM: Any favorite upcoming horror movies you are dying to see?
Trish: Nope. I stick to the old ones.
NSM: Any favorite horror movies you would like to see a sequel to?
Trish: No. I have seen remakes of several classics and they have only been successful at annoying me. I think a sequal would have the same effect on me. Don't kill a good movie.
NSM: What's your favorite spot on my site to visit?
Trish: I like to see which movie will be "Scary Movie of the week."
NSM: And finally, what are your thoughts on this little Q&A and if the time comes around, would you consider taking another?
Trish: Very nice, I like it. I'd take another one.
NSM: Trish, thank you for taking the time to take this little Q&A and please do come back again...!!!
