            “Talk to me, Eros,” I pleaded, “revert your gaze back to me!”

 

Eros ignored me, like I was nothing more then an annoying insect buzzing through the air around him.

 

            “Eros,” I tried again, “please, speak!”

 

And he turned to me, eyes full of sorrow.

 

            “Go away, Jacob.”

 

And I, on the verge of loosing my sanity, turned away from him and ran.

 

            “And the angel spread his wings and took flight,” whispered Eros.
