If you like really realistic computer graphics, but don't really care if the story actually makes any sense, this would be the movie to see. However, if you it when stories don't make sense, and are based on a very weak premise, don't see this one. The art in this movie was absolutely phenomenal. The only reason I didn't feel completely ripped off was because I couldn't believe that those were actually computer-generated images. They looked incredibly realistic, which made the movie fun to watch regardless of the horrible horrible story. OK, I am going to do something right now that movie reviewers aren't really supposed to do. I'm going to basically give away the entire story. So, if you do not want to be spoiled, and still intend to see this movie, do not read past this point. The story is the reason that I gave the movie such a bad review. Basically, humans live on a post-apocalypticlike Earth where little ghosties haunt the humans and whenever they come in contact with a human being, the souls are ripped from their bodies and they die horrible screaming painful s. And there are these soldiers and scientists. The soldiers want to ghost bust all of the ghosts (even though they can't see them really), and the scientists want to use the spirit of the Earth to cleanse the ghosties. That doesn't sound too bad does it? Trust me, it is. I really want to give away more stuff about this movie, but I seriously cannot remember major details like people's names and so forth. So, I'm going to leave it at that. Anyway, please watch this movie! Well, you should at least see it for the really cool animation. You can probably find it at Blockbuster sometime soon. Go Back |
