  • Things are going well in Latrobe for the Steelers so far. There's even talk of receiver Nate Washington, an undrafted free agent, being the next Willie Parker. Go Nate! As for Big Ben - it's almost as if nothing happened. Yesterday was kind of an off day for the team, so Coach Cowher addressed them either last night or this morning. They'll be fine. Things weren't so great in training camp/preseason last year, and look what happened.
  • The Pirates blanked the Cubs, 6-0, today. Looks like Shawn Chacon is doing wonders for them. You're welcome, guys.
  • Oh yeah, Shawn Chacon. The Yankees traded him 5 days ago. For Craig Wilson. Just the day before, they landed Bobby Abreu  and Cory Lidle in a trade with the Phillies. Welcome to the Bronx, guys. Life is good. We're tied 4-4 in the 8th, by the way.
  • TO injured. Already. Bill Parcells isn't happy with the team as a whole at the moment, but whatever. TO tweaked a hamstring or something. He'll use it as leverage later, I'm sure - just as he did with the Eagles when he broke his leg in the season leading up to Super Bowl XXXIX. So glad he's not playing for the Steelers, that's all I have to say about that.
