  • Knee surgery may push Marshall Faulk into retirement. He's going to have knee surgery next week that will end his season before it even starts. The Rams, however, are going to keep him on the roster, "because it's Marshall," according to head coach Scott Linehan. And he's got a point. If that happened to Jerome while he was playing for the Steelers, our coaching staff would have said the same thing.
  • Apparently Santonio Holmes is under the impression that Hines Ward doesn't play for the Steelers anymore. At least, according to one question from the "Ask the Steelers" segment for Santonio Holmes, in which someone asked who his favorite former Steelers receiver was. Hines Ward still plays for the Steelers, Santonio. Unless there's something he hasn't told anyone. But anyway, he's still there. And you'll have to answer to him.
  • I'm getting amused by the "Reliving the 2005 Season" segment on Steelers.com. In the beginning of the season, LB James Harrison was getting touted left and right. The author of the segment quips that "Somewhere in Cleveland, an idiot Browns fan wasn't listening." And then when Ben has to have surgery done on his knee, "suddenly everyone in Pittsburgh knows how to spell meniscus." Looking forward to the next part, because this is brilliant.
  • Sometimes, people will do anything for money. And then everyone else will complain. At least, that's what happened between Yankees CF  Johnny Damon and a stay-at-home mom who happens to be a Red Sox fan. I'm kind of neutral on this whole thing, because while I think what Johnny Damon did in going to the Yankees from Boston was the most uncool thing ever, it happened. And everyone needs to get over it. It's a business, unfortunately. And nothing can be done about it. But still, this woman has  a right to her opinion - about as much as those people who make the shirts that say "I root for the Yankees and any team who beats the Red Sox" and vice versa have. And no one's complaining about those shirts. Although I'm having trouble figuring out why anyone would put "Damon sucks" on baby clothing. That's just...odd. Harmless, but odd.
