  • Steve McNair, the now-former quarterback for the Tennessee Titans has signed a deal with the Baltimore Ravens. Apparently, this signing has pushed Kyle Boller to #2 on the depth chart. Personally, I don't see how McNair is any better than Boller, considering the fact that Tennessee had a 4-12 record during the 2005 season. Baltimore was 6-10. At first, when I heard of the McNair signing, I figured it was ammo to make Kyle Boller work harder. Apparently not. But then, these are the Ravens we're talking about here. They never were the brightest crayons in the box.
  • Some Bengals news. According to head coach Marvin Lewis, linebacker A.J. Nicholson and receiver Chris Henry have "embarrassed the Bengals organization." I didn't realize getting embarrassed was new to the Bengals organization. Apparently saying that they're better than Pittsburgh, because they won the AFC North and then get beat at home in the first round while Pittsburgh goes off and wins the Super Bowl, wasn't embarrassing enough. By the way, here's another way in which we're better than you guys - the worst thing any of our guys has done lately is get arrested for disorderly conduct. The Steelers are smart enough to not take on guys like those the Bengals saddled themselves with.
  • More Bengals news: Carson Palmer expected back for opener. Rotowire reports that "it's still not time yet to fully expect Palmer to be ready for the season, but this is more good news that suggests he just might make it back." Good news for who? Oh yeah...everyone. Except maybe the Bengals and Carson himself. Do they really think that he'll be 100% by the opener? I really don't. Not with an injury like the one he sustained. But whatever. 8-8 this coming season - if they're lucky. Write it down.
  • Tommy Maddox may be bound for the PGA. He's not too keen on returning to the NFL, understandably. He had some great moments on the field - the comeback against Cleveland, for one - but all in all, things could have been better. I wish him luck in whatever he does. And if he goes into the PGA, I might actually watch golf a little more.
