Elektricia Marie Provenzano's Character Profile

Side note: This character profile was created for a specific roleplay setting (which I don't remember the plotline anymore), so that would be why the information here and on the Gaia version are the same. This is just a little more detailed and the other has some information not included here, so I thought I would have both versions.

PLAYER STATS
Your Name: Saika
Your Age: Old. Probably more than you. >.>;
Your Gender: Female
Your Info: I've only ever seen the original X-men cartoon and the movies. Never got into Evolution and don't remember most of the comics I ever read. The character name came before the powers; I've always liked the name "Elektra".

CHARACTER STATS

Name: Elektricia Marie Provenzano
Nicknames: Elektra
Alias: n/a
Alignment: Rogue
Age/DOB: 18/March 14
Gender: Female
Height: 5'3"
Weight: 105 lbs
Occupation: college student / part-time job as mechanic
Education: college sophomore/junior (skipped classes from accelerated high school classes and tests)
Nationality: American
Ethnicity: Mutt. (Mwaha.) 1/4 Italian, from mother's side.

(All below fields must be at least one paragraph in length (5-8 sentences) unless otherwise noted.)

Physical Traits: Elektra has dark brown eyes and blue-black hair. Her natural hair color is a medium-dark brown, but she prefers it black, thinking it looks better. With a natural tan complexion from her father's side, she doesn't have to spend a lot of time in the sun to get darker. Luckily, she didn't get her mother's tendency to burn immediately. (Her Italian genes are more Southern Italian, hence the dark hair and dark eyes. For some odd reason, tan complexion is not included in that mix.)

(She doesn't know it, but when she's concentrating on her electrical abilities, a faint blue tint does form around her iris.)

Developed from years of sports, as well as hiking up and down mountain sides, she has very strong leg muscles; however, her arm muscles are very weak. This is from not doing sports that require any sort of upper-body strength. Also, she has a lean body-type, something she has been known to call "her stick-ness". She blames her naturally high metabolism for that.

Outfit: (street clothes) When she's not at work, most of the time she's wearing some comination of jeans and a t-shirt. She doesn't like flashy, trendy clothing, and certainly shows a disdain for "girly" clothes. She will, on occassion, wear shirts that show off her midriff along with low-cut long pants. Elektra considers skirts as evil, so don't even expect to find one on her save for very rare times. As far as shoes are concerned, she hates flip-flops (swearing they try to kill her with tripping her) and heals/platforms (ie, "girl-shoes"). Instead, she prefers guys sneakers, but particularly skater's shoes, like Vans, or a pair of hiking boots. Just as look as the shoes don't have a "girl-y" appearance (save for that rare exception..).
Her work clothes really aren't that much different. Since she does part-time for a mechanic, her clothes consist of oil-and-grease-covered shirts and jeans. Expect to see holes in either of them.

Uniform: (Just write 'none' if your character does not have one.) None. >.>

Major Mutations: (main powers, usually the strongest and/or the most used) Though for the most part she has no real control over it, her powers are based around electricity. (It just ended up some strange twist of fate that her name correlates to her powers.) At her current state, having had no training in control, she cannot produce something like a lightning bolt and throw it at someone/something. She just does not have the control (no matter how much she'd like to).

Through experimentation, she's discovered that she can conduct a small amount of electricity through objects over a short distance. (She cannot conduct across an average size room yet, ie average classroom.) In this respect, she can shock a person through touch, though if she put concentration into it (which at this stage is a lot) the shock would be more extreme than something like static shock. Her current distance for conducting is at max 5 ft from her, and even at that distance it's very minimal. If someone were to be closer, the shock would become more extreme, up to being right next to her where it would probably feel like poking a fork in an electrical outlet.

As far as touching someone goes, unconsciously she will "static shock" the person, as her body naturally emits this energy. Keeping this in mind, it is not uncommon for tiny electrical bolts to jump between her fingers when they're spread apart. For this reason, she tends to keep her hands either in her pockets or held in fists.

Minor Mutations: (low powers, usually do not have a large affect on the user or others) She constantly has a "static charge" on her because of her powers. Because of that, she always has to use hairspray to keep her hair down and to make it less obvious about her charge. Also, due to this effect, she does not feel, nor is affected by, static shocks from outside sources.

She cannot take overloads of energy, and so a lightning bolt strike will harm her to some degree; however, she will not be as severely injured as a normal person would be if struck. Of course, hypothetically speaking, if she were playing a game of softball and holding a metal bat, she would probably be thrown into a short coma if struck by lightning. (Or at least be comatose for a period of time.)

Mutation Mechanics: (explaining in detail how the mutations work scientifically)

Skills: (stuff your character is good at, not his/her powers) Not cooking. >.>
Debating, martial arts, sports (ie, coordination). Japanese language.

Personality: (( I'll get back to this..... >.>;; ))

Interests: [This can just be a sentence or two, but don't list.] She has a very morbid interest in all forms of weaponry, but particularly in pointy objects, like swords. Also, despite having no talent in it, she likes to draw.

Family: [Listing is okay, though specify names if possible.] Parents are divorced. Two older half-siblings, both live on their own and don't keep in much contact with the rest of the family.
Mom- Marie Provenzano (52)
Dad- Jerrod O'Conner (58)
Siblings- Jerrod O'Conner, Jr (31- already divorced once), Garnett O'Conner-Morgans (28- sister, married)

History: [Must be at least 2 paragraphs in length.] Born a month premature, Elektra was expected to have all sorts of "premie"-related problems. However, once in the clear a couple days later, she was showing signs of "normal-ness", ie, not expected to develop problems in terms of sight, hearing, or mental capacities, etc.

As she grew up, this was fairly obvious. In fact, her mother noticed that in pre-school Elektra would cause problems. Thinking the cause of this was because of being too bored, her mother tested this thought by moving her up to the next "grade" half-way through the year, and Elektra's troublemaking reduced to almost nothing.

Her parents having divorced when she was little, she spent a lot of time at her aunt's apartment after school while her mother worked full-time. The weekends, and a few specific holidays, she spent with her father. Due to the age gap, she doesn't remember spending a lot of quality time with her two siblings.

The rest of her childhood passed by normally. She grew up with no problems, her mother changing jobs twice to something more convenient time and money-wise. She had high grades throughout her school years and even entered into accelerated classes in middle and high school.

With financial support from her mom's side of the family, she and her mother were able to live comfortably in a small house out in the Catskills Mountains. Despite the support, her mother was obstinate and kept her full-time job. Even so, Elektra never felt "rich"- mostly because the kids she went to school with up until high school were the stereotypical rich snobs.

While she was in 8th grade (14 years old), she came to realize that she had abilities with electricity. After Thanksgiving, she was helping her mother decorate the house with lights and got shocked when unplugging a string from the outlet in the garage. The sensation from the shock was only minor, which confused her mother who had seen Elektra's hand hit the metal of the plug while still in the socket. Her mother wrote it off as that Elektra had only hit the plug for a second, but the girl knew exactly how long her hand had been there. Instead of correcting her, the teenager kept it to herself.

Since then, she'd started to notice a constant static charge. Of course, with it being winter, it was easy to dismiss it. But when spring and summer came around, Elektricia determined that it was not normal to have some form of constant static "cling". A news report going on at the time perked her interest to research about mutants.

By the time she had graduated from high school, Elektra had had some fun experimenting with what she could and could not do (in secret, of course). Having no real training with them, she didn't develop them nor learn to control them- simply experimented and explored her possibilities. The degree to which she can use them now is just based on their natural expansion.

Now, as a first-year college student, she has moved to a place closer to the university she attends and uses money gained by scholarships to pay for most of her academic-related expenses, as well as part of her housing. The rest of her expenditures she makes via income received by a part-time job as a mechanic at the local body shop. After she discovered she could partially jump-start dead batteries, she's used it to her advantage to find electrical problems in cars.

Fin.
