Enough said.. Note: This story is dedicated to Mr.McDonald (student english teacher) and Cassia (fellow writer and friend) ============== Part 1 " Hey Obi! Wait up!" yelled Jaina Corbett from her room that adjoined Obi-Wan's. "Come on Jaina!" Obi-Wan yelled. They need to get to the transport before their Master Qui Gon Jinn got there. Qui-Gon Jinn was the only Jedi Master to take on two padawans. The Jedi Counsel disapproved, but Qui-Gon had told them that Obi-Wan and Jaina were stronger together and he couldn't separate them. It took a long time before he took Jaina and Obi-Wan as his padawans though. He was haunted by his former padawan, Xanatos. He was amazed how much power Obi-Wan and Jaina had in the Force. It was extraordinary. Those two were so close. They were alike in many ways and different in many ways. Jaina was headstrong, adventurous, smart, fast, strong, and trustworthy like Obi-Wan. The things that made them different is that Jaina could most of the time control her anger, unlike Obi-Wan. Jaina was also good at flying a ship, making gadgets, and making plans. Obi- Wan was everything that Jaina was, except for the fact that he couldn't control his anger as well and his plans weren't so good. That's why they fit together so perfectly. Where one failed the other succeeded. They work as a team at all times. They were like brother and sister. They could be! They looked a lot alike, except Obi-Wan was a lot taller. There birthdays were a day apart and everyone thought they were twins. He saw them now rushing toward the transport. He told them to be there before he got there or he would leave them. They were on their way to Corellia to stop a war between 3 species, the Selonians, Dralls, and the Humans. They were arguing what species should be on Corellia. The humans wanted the planet to themselves saying that the Selonians and the Drall had their own planets. This one was going to be tough. " Good, we made it." Jaina said to Obi-Wan as she sat herself into the co-pilot chair. " We wouldn't want to upset him." Obi-Wan said. "You mean you wouldn't want to upset him," Jaina said nudging him in the ribs with her elbow. " Yah." Obi-Wan said. He had accidentally dropped Qui-Gon's lightsabre into the lake while walking with Bant. He was showing her his master's lightsabre, when suddenly Jaina had run up behind him and startled him. That's when he had dropped the lightsabre into the lake exactly when Qui-Gon had come to get them for their next mission. His master had been very upset. Jaina had some part in it too by scaring him, but it was his fault that he had been playing with his master's sabre. " Hello, my young padawans." Qui-Gon said as he sat himself into the pilot chair. " Hello, master" Jaina and Obi-Wan said in unison. " We will be traveling through hyperspace for 3 days. You two will be training while we are in hyperspace with you exercises you have learned the last 2 days." Qui-Gon said in a neutral voice. "Yes, Master" Jaina said. With that they jumped into hyperspace towards Corellia. " Ahh!" Jaina was getting frustrated that she couldn't get her moves fast enough to block the thing Qui-Gon was throwing at her. //Why can't I do this! I did it at the temple why not now! // " Jaina do not focus on the past, but on the present." He had felt the frustration she was feeling. Obi-Wan started to giggle, but Qui-Gon shot a piercing glare at him that made him fall back into silence. " You're next Obi, so I wouldn't start!" Jaina said with a smile. " Now, young Padawan, concentrate." Her Master said. With a deep breath Jaina was ready to take on what her Master was going to throw at her. Just then she felt the Force flow threw her, pulsing threw her veins. She felt some of it coming from Obi- Wan. Even though he teased her a lot, he always came threw for her. With that Jaina turned on her lightsabre. It had a purplish- blue glow to it. Suddenly she felt an object fly towards and blocked it with the Force. " Good Jaina." Her Master said. One after another, objects came flying at her. At first she did really good, but after the first 3, she became to falter. // Come on! Come on! Concentrate! // With that, she gathered the Force around her. Finally at the end of the drill, Jaina was able to block most of the objects. Now it was Obi-Wan's turn. "Good job Jaina!" he said to her with a grin and then nudged her with his elbow. All she did was glared at him at first, but then smile and said thanks. After a few minutes into the drill, Obi-Wan was doing just as bad as Jaina did. He kept getting hit by the objects his Master was throwing at him. //I won't lash out. This time I'll be the calm one//. After 5 minutes Obi-Wan got frustrated and lashed out. " Calm yourself, Padawan," his Master told him " anger is not the way." Finally the drill was over and it was time to eat. Jaina, while Obi-Wan was doing the drill, had made dinner. She made some nerf sausage, edible greens, czualian vegetables, and she brought out some water. " Thank you Jaina," Qui-Gon said, " looks delicious." " Your Welcome Master" she said, then glared at Obi-Wan with her icy blue eyes, as if saying Well? " Oh yah, thank you Jaina." He finally said. She then gave a nod. They came out of hyperspace a day ahead of schedule, except it wasn't for a good reason. The hyperdrive was leaking and there were some problems with the sublight engines. Jaina was already back there trying to fix it. Obi-Wan was trying to find a planet to land on and Qui-Gon was piloting the ship. " I've got a bad feeling about this." She muttered under her breath. She was reaching for the hydrospanner when she spotted something that didn't seem to belong. She got a closer look at it and realized it was a bomb! "MASTER!" she yelled. Qui-Gon heard his padawan cry out for him and rushed towards her. Obi-Wan also heard Jaina's call and ran towards her also. When Obi-Wan got there, a second or two behind Qui-Gon, he saw Jaina trying to pull herself out of the compartment. " What is it?!" both men ask. " It's a bomb!" With that, Qui-Gon hurried toward the compartment Jaina had just been. He bent down to look inside and saw nothing. " Jaina, where is it?" he ask. " It's about 1 meter left of the sublight engine." She said trying to calm herself. Obi-Wan was trying to calm down Jaina and look over his Masters shoulders at the same time. Qui-Gon saw nothing. Everything looks as it should be. Had his padawan hallucinated the bomb from all the work she was doing in the compartment? He checked the compartment one more time then came out. " There is nothing there, my padawan." He said looking at her. " But.. I saw it!" After her Master moved from the compartment she went back and looked where she had seen the bomb. When she looked there was nothing there. " I think all that work in there made you hallucinated the bomb Jaina." Obi-Wan said. He never seen Jaina so worked up before. She looked serious and alert. " I think that you two need some sleep." Their Master said. The two padawans did not disagree and headed towards their cabin. // Did Jaina really see that bomb? // Qui-Gon really didn't know. She seemed so sure of it. Ever since they got on this ship, something was wrong. Something didn't seem right, out of place. He knew that his padawan wouldn't lie to him, especially something like that. Probably right now Obi-Wan was telling her that she was just seeing things, and she would be arguing that she had seen it. Even though Qui-Gon couldn't hear them he could know what they were talking about, he could feel it. He could feel Jaina's anger and frustration and Obi-Wan's worry and amusement. Qui-Gon could feel that something was there, but not there. It was a weird feeling. Jaina had fixed the sublight engines before she had went to bed, but they still needed to land somewhere to fix the hyperdrive and refuel. They were out in the middle of space and they needed to find a planet to land on soon. Qui-Gon was doing that right now. He had found 2 planets. One had no habitats and one with outlawed criminals and small cities. " Guess that will have to be the one." Qui-Gon said softly to himself. " Jaina, you were just working for too long." Obi-Wan said to his sister. He was worried because she seemed so serious and worried. On the other hand, he thought this was kind of funny. She looked so serious, which usually she's smiling or laughing, that she looked kind of funny. He could feel that Jaina had sensed his amusement and now was getting angry with him. " This isn't funny!" Jaina said to him. She had to keep it low so that her Master couldn't hear her. She didn't think this was funny at all. // I did see something! // she said threw her and Obi- Wan's bond. // Alright, I believe you! // he thought back. He and Jaina had this bond since they were brought together back at the temple. Master Yoda insisted that Master Ali-Alann, the children's caretaker, bring down Obi-Wan from the nursery and Jaina from the cafeteria. Once they were up there together, Jaina and him clicked. He saw Jaina come in and just walked up to her and they started to play. Obi-Wan was usually shy around others, but with Jaina, he wasn't. They were two – years – old when they had met. " Strong you are, when are together." He said to them. " Strong in the Force the two of you are," he said " but stronger when together you are." Jaina and Obi-Wan were put together in their training, always having the same classes and teachers together. People always thought they were brother and sister because they looked so much alike. Obi- Wan's parents adopted Jaina when she was 5 when they found out that she was an orphan. They saw how close he and Jaina were and accepted her as their daughter. Now they were Padawans together with the same Master. Qui-Gon had seen the power that came from them and chose both of them to become his Padawan Learners. // Lets just stop thinking about it, it was probably nothing. // Jaina said threw their bond. // Yah, I want to get some sleep anyway. // he said. // Good night Obi. // she said. // Good night Jaina. // TBC Part 2 " Wake up you two." Qui-Gon called from the cockpit while they orbited around the planet Leoon. He had been up most of the night trying to find another planet other than the two he had found. He heard some rustling from the room Obi-Wan and Jaina was in. // I hope Jaina is calmed down. // They were going to land on Leoon, a small planet on the Outer-Rim Territory that was filled with out-law criminals, smugglers, gangsters, and low life scum. Leoon was known for its criminals and spice. Abraina spice was very rare and the affects were dangerous. The spice gave you a feeling like you were dreaming and everything is fine, where nothing goes wrong in that dream…. That is for most people. Some people got nightmares. They see things that horrify them and go after it. One woman killed her best friend because she thought that she was a stormtooper. That was the affects of Abraina spice. " Hey Obi-Wan, wake up!" Jaina said with a yawn then started to shake her brother. " I'm up, I'm up!" Obi- Wan said as Jaina started to shake him. He sat up and then tried to unwrinkle his tunic. He looked around to see what Jaina was doing and saw her try to put up her hair. After she was done putting her hair in a ponytail she gave Obi- Wan a grin. " You know, I heard that someone," she looked at Obi-Wan with sparkles in her blue eyes, " like Jhade Hood." With that Obi-Wan flushed a deep red. His eyes fell down to his tunic to hide his embarrassment from his sister. Jhade was a girl from the Temple. She had short brown hair and jungle green eyes. Jhade was from the planet Alderaan. She was a little bit shorter than Obi-Wan and Jaina. Her and Jaina were best friends at the Temple. Obi- Wan saw her occasionally, but never really talked to her. Now she had her own Master and they were off on a mission to Mon Calamari. " Where did you hear that?" he asked still looking down at his tunic. " From Katen," Jaina said still smiling mischievously at her brother. She knew that Obi-Wan liked Jhade for a long time. It was just funny to see Obi-Wan flush red like that every time she mentioned Jhade. " He told me he had over heard you say that you liked her." " Really" Obi-Wan muttered. He finally looked up to see Jaina straightening her own tunic. She didn't look worried anymore. // At least that's good// he thought to himself. " So… why don't you ask her out?" Jaina said looking at Obi- Wan again with a large grin on her face. With that, Obi-Wan's face turned even redder. Still beaming her smile, Jaina walked over to Obi- Wan and said " You know, you're going to have to face her sometime or another!" Then added, " How about when we get back to the Temple. I'll set up a picnic at the waterfall and you two can have lunch or something!" Obi-Wan's face turned even redder. He turned around pretending to look for his lightsabre to hide his embarrassment again. // Why is she doing this to me! // He thought. // May be she likes to do this. // Qui-Gon walked into the room and saw that Jaina was smiling and Obi-Wan's face redder than an Almanian beet. // Jaina must be tormenting Obi-Wan again. // He smiled. He remembered when he always tormented Mace. Almost exactly as Jaina did to Obi-Wan, except for the fact that Mace's face never got as red as Obi-Wan's. " We'll be landing on the planet Leoon." He said. He looked at Obi-Wan and cocked an eyebrow. Obi-Wan gave a sheepish smile and then turned a bit more red. His tunic was need of an iron. Obi-Wan was still trying to straighten his tunic and Jaina was still trying to fix her hair again. She didn't even notice that Qui-Gon was looking at her and that she was still grinning like a maniac at Obi- Wan. She finally looked up to see Qui-Gon looking at her with a weird look on his face. Now it was her turn to blush. " Isn't Leoon a place for criminals," Jaina said still blushing " and gangsters?" Obi-Wan finished her sentence. He was still red, but it did go down a bit. " Yes. You two will stay on the ship while I go get the fuel and parts for the hyperdrive and sublight engines." Qui-Gon said. He hated to leave his Padawans, but he needed them to stay here and watch the ship. He also didn't want them out in the city. There were too many dangers out there for them. " But we want to go too!" Jaina started to protest. " We could help! Isn't that what we're suppose to do!" Obi-Wan said backing up what Jaina had just said. " Obi- Wan, Jaina, I need you to watch the ship. If something happens to the ship, then we have no way off the planet." He said. He knew this wasn't going to help the argument. Jaina always found a way to go around what he had just said. " Well, what if you get hurt out there and you can't communicate us! It would be the same as if you left us here at the ship! We can't go to Corellia alone just as we can't go to Corellia without a ship!" It never fails. " Jaina, do you know how to fly a ship?" he asked knowing the answer. " Yes." She said looking down and shuffling her feet. She knew not to defy her Master. " But she's right! We can't go to Corellia alone!" Obi-Wan said backing up Jaina. " If I don't come back before night, contact me, and if you don't get an answer in a half an hour, then take off. The coordinates will be set for Coruscant." He paused for a moment to let it sink in. Jaina and Obi-Wan were about to oppose, but Qui-Gon held up his hand for silence. Jaina and Obi-Wan were holding their lightsabres. He could see in their eyes that they wanted to go, to fight with their Master. He couldn't allow it. They would be in danger just by waiting for him on the ship. He hoped they understood. " Master," Jaina started, " we can't just leave you here and go to Coruscant" Obi-Wan finished. He was still trying to straighten his tunic while looking at Qui-Gon. Jaina nodded. Qui-Gon knew he was asking a lot from them. " Alright, if I do not return by nightfall," Qui-Gon said with a frown, " then you may look for me in the morning IF I do not respond to *both* comlink and our bond. Is that clear Obi-Wan and Jaina." They looked at each other as if discussing the agreement. Finally Jaina spoke. " Alright." They were still disappointed. " Jaina and Obi-Wan, I need you to pilot the ship to the out- skirts of Canona. Try to get near or in the forest to camouflage the ship." Qui-Gon instructed. Jaina and Obi-Wan made their way to the cockpit and sat down. Jaina plopped herself in the pilot chair and gave a heavy sighed. // Why won't he let at least on of us go! // She said through the bond she and Obi-Wan shared. // How should * I * know? // He was just as annoyed by this as Jaina. He looked at the controls in front of him. The fuel was almost gone and the engine looked like they were over-heating. " We need to land right now." Jaina said pressing some buttons and turning the ship around to face the planet Leoon. She brought down the ship with ease and hid it underneath some over grown bushes. Both Obi-Wan and Jaina got up and headed toward the hatch. Qui-Gon was putting on a poncho to hide his lightsabre and then grabbed a pouch of credits. He looked up to see that his apprentices were watching him. " Remember, I'll contact you when I get to the city and when I get the parts." He said then turned around to open the hatch. As he was walking down the hatch he heard them say " May the Force be with you Master." He reached the end of the ramp then gave the signal to Jaina to close it. As it closed Qui-Gon felt that something wasn't right. He didn't want to, but he shook the feeling to the side. // If anything happens, they'll reach me. // With that he headed toward the city of Canona. " This is * so * boring!" Jaina said with a sigh and pulled out a ration pack from their survival kit and handed it to Obi-Wan then got one for herself. " We should be out there with him." Obi-Wan said. His ration pack started to heat itself when he pulled back the cover. He looked over to Jaina who looked disgustingly at her ration pack. " Here, have mine." He said and handed over his ration pack to Jaina and then took hers. " Thanks." She said and took it thankfully. She managed to smile at him despite of the way she felt. After dinner Jaina went to the refresher unit and Obi-Wan went to the cockpit. Little did they know they were being watched. 88888888 "Ah, finally they are alone." The shadow spirit Jasen Kul said to himself. He had been waiting for them to be alone. Their Master had been able to sense him. He had tried to block to Jedi Knight, but he was too strong. " This time it will be his Padawans that will die and not mine!" Jasen Kul said as he looked angrily at the two Jedi apprentices. During a war about 12 years ago, Jasen had lost his Padawan in a battle. It had been Qui-Gon Jinn who had struck him down… and now he was going to pay. Jasen, himself, had died in that battle. // Those two will die for the price Qui-Gon Jinn will pay for killing my Padawan. // He thought to himself as he glided across to the engine compartment. // That girl had almost foiled my plan, if Qui-Gon had seen the bomb this would not have worked. // He had placed the bomb in the compartment a couple hours before the engines were having problems. He was able to remove it before Qui-Gon had a chance to see the bomb. He put the bomb into the compartment again and set it for 15 hours. He knew that Qui-Gon would not make it back before nightfall. He had for-seen it. The two Padawans will be fine when their Master calls to check on them, but before he can the next morning, they'll be dead. He slipped out to notice that Obi-Wan Kenobi had felt his presence. He looked as if he didn't know what it was, but he and his sister knew too much already. Jasen quickly blocked his presence in the Force. He saw that Obi-Wan kept looking around, then stopped and pushed it aside. // Foolish Jedi brat. Never dismiss a dark presence. // With that he left into the dark shadows of the ship. 88888888 " Something's wrong here." Obi-Wan muttered under his breath then got up to check the ship. He started had the cockpit and then headed towards the end of the ship. The Force was telling him that a dark presence was near and to be alert. He checked the compartments and their rooms in the ship. " Jaina!" Obi-Wan called into the refresher unit. " What!?" Jaina called back over the running water. // Why does he have to call me when I'm in the shower? // " Are you alright? Do you feel that?" Obi-Wan called back. He felt his sister's annoyance. Jaina thought for a minute of what Obi-Wan was talking about. // Of course I'm fine, why is he asking me that? // Then she thought about what else Obi-Wan had said. Suddenly she did feel a dark presence, but only for a second. " I'm fine Obi," She called out again tiring to over power the sound of the running water so that Obi-Wan could hear her. " What was that? I only felt it for a second." " I don't know," He said glad to hear that she was O.K. " if we feel it again, I think we should contact Qui-Gon." "O.K." Jaina said. Obi-Wan made his way to the room he and Jaina shared. He brought some clean blankets out and put them on his sleep couch. He grabbed two more to put on Jaina's sleep couch. About 5 minutes later Jaina came out of the refresher unit with her pajamas on and her hair dripping onto the floor. She had her towel wrapped around her neck and walked towards Obi-Wan. Obi-Wan had his pajamas on also. He had taken a shower earlier in the day. " I got a message from Qui-Gon." Obi-Wan said when Jaina got to her sleep couch. " What did he say?" Jaina said as she eased herself into her blankets and signed. " He made it to the city and got the parts," he said as he plopped onto his sleep couch. " but he won't be able to make it back tonight. He said there's a storm there and it was too dangerous to travel back. He's staying with a young man. He said he'll be back by midday tomorrow." " Oh," Jaina said. // At least he's O.K. // " So I guess we have to clean the ship by then." She was smiling at Obi-Wan. They had made a bit of a mess while trying to fix some of the problems with the ship. Also they had a small food fight. " Yah, well goodnight Jaina." Obi-Wan said looking at Jaina then turned over in his sleep couch. " Goodnight." Jaina said, but Obi-Wan was already asleep. // Boy, what did he do to get so tired. // she thought. One the other hand Jaina had a hard time getting to sleep. 88888888 Qui-Gon walked his way through the crowded streets of Canona. He looked down at streets to keep from getting any eye contact, but was aware of everything around him. The old lady in the fruit stand was yelling at her child for taking a piece of muja fruit off the stand. A teenager picking a fight with a young adult that looked as if he had just got done with a fight. One man walked around as if nothing was there. Then a couple seconds later he yelled " Hey look I'm going to fly!" With that he took off into a sprint and started to jump up and down. // Affects of Abraina spice.// Qui-Gon thought to himself. He was still debating if he should have taken Obi-Wan and Jaina with him. He didn't like leaving his Padawans, but it was for their protection. He continued down the street when he heard " Hey you! Yah you with the long beard! I'm talking to you!" yelled a young man in his mid- twenties from behind Qui-Gon. Qui-Gon turned around to see a large dark skinned man facing him with black eyes that looked like coal. He was tall and built, but still didn't size up to Qui-Gon. He looked at the young man and gave a nod. " Give me you money old man!" He yelled into Qui-Gon's face then gave him a slight push on the shoulders. Qui-Gon kept a calm, steady glaze as he looked at the man then said " No." " What old man??! What did you say!?" he yelled back as people rushed pass them with scared looks on their faces as others gathered around to watch. " No. I will not give you any money." Qui-Gon said calmly looking into those cold dark eyes. With that, the young man raised his hand in a fist, pulled back, and was ready to punch Qui-Gon. Qui-Gon was ready though. As the fist came down, Qui-Gon moved aside and grab the man's left arm, pulled it back, and then flipped him. As the young man came down with a thump, Qui-Gon was already walking away. // Foolish boy. // he thought as we walked into the parts store. 8888888 " What do you want old man." The Ithorian said as he walked from behind the counter full of junk. " I need some parts and hyperdrive fuel for a Newbe 1-64." Qui-Gon said walking towards him gracefully. " What kind of parts. I have the largest junkyard you can find on Leoon. If you don't find it here, you won't find it any were." He said with a smile of pride and satisfactory. " Sublight engine, hyperdrive fuel, and some oil." Qui-Gon said as he looked for the parts. " Ah, I have those right over here, * if * you pay the right price. " I have Republic credits" Qui-Gon said to Ithorian. " Those will do," he said and signaled Qui-Gon to follow him to the back of the store and into the junkyard. He stopped in front of something that looked like it could be part of a Corellian freighter and moved it aside. There under it was a Newbe sublight engine. " That will be 200 credits and the hyperdrive and fuel will cost 250 credits. I'll get those from my storage. Don't touch anything. Take the sublight engine and meet me back up front." The Ithorian said heading towards the storage room. " Welian, come here boy! Help this man with the engine and make sure he doesn't leave with the merchandise." Qui-Gon looked at the skinny young man. He was about Obi-Wan's and Jaina's age, short, dark haired, and pale skin. He had a mark on his chin that ran to his neck. He gave Qui-Gon a slight nod and helped him lift the sublight engine and take it the counter. " Thank you." Qui-Gon said smiling at the boy. He looked at Qui-Gon for a minute then said " Welcome. Whatcha doin' on Leoon. You don't look as the type ta be here." He said smiling back. " My ship needed some repairs before we got to our destination." Qui- Gon said as the boy jumped onto the counter and sat there looking at Qui-Gon. " We?" he said curiously, then grabbed two muja fruits from behind the counter. " Here." He threw one to Qui-Gon, who catched it. Qui- Gon had to think of what he was going to say. He couldn't say that Obi-Wan and Jaina was his apprentices, that would surely give him a way. " My son and daughter. They are back at the ship." Qui-Gon said then turned around to see that another person had come into the store. It was a man, dirty blond hair and looked as if he hadn't taken a bath in weeks. " Oh, hey Carson! Malsan is in the back." Welian said to the man. Carson gave a nod and headed back. Welian turned back to Qui-Gon. " Son and daughter? How old are they? You must trust em' a lot ta leave em' out there all alone." " They are 14 years old. Yes, I do trust them." Qui-Gon said. // If I do trust them, then why did I leave them on the ship! // He was beginning to regret leaving Obi-Wan and Jaina at the ship. He knew they could take care of themselves, but still he left them there. He would have to talk to them when he got back. " 14! You must really trust em'! I know my parents wouldn't!" He said. He was amazed of how much trust he gave his children. // They must be goody – two – shoes! // he thought. With that, the Ithorian walked back into the room with the hyperdrive and fuel. " That will be 450 credits." He said. Qui-Gon handed him the credits, then looked at all the things he had to take back to the ship. // Now I really regret leaving Obi-Wan and Jaina back at the ship. // he thought and gave a sigh. // How in the Force am I suppose to get this back to the ship! // " Do you have anything that can haul this back to my ship?" Qui-Gon asks as he pointed to the fuel and the engines. " Yes, where did you land you ship at?" the Ithorian ask. " The outskirts of this city." Qui-Gon said wondering why the Ithorian wanted to know where he landed his ship. The Ithorian started to laugh. " What?" Qui-Gon asked curiously. Welian got down from the counter and went in front of Qui-Gon. " You'll never make it. There's a storm coming. I think you should come to my house. My dad and mom won't mind." " Are you sure?" Qui-Gon asked. He wanted to get back to the ship as soon as possible. " Yah, no prob." Welian said then looked at the laughing Ithorian. " Malsan won't mind ya leavin' your stuff here over night. Do ya Malsan?" Welian ask the Ithorian. Still laughing, the Ithorian shook his head * no *. " Alright. Can communications still be made from here?" Qui-Gon asked. The boy shook his head * no * and then said, " Storms here get pretty bad. Comon' mom's probably making dinner for 3 when she needs ta make dinner for 4." With that, Qui-Gon and Welian left the junkyard. 888888 " Soon, soon I'll have my revenge." The dark spirit Jasen Kul said as he floated past the two sleeping Padawans. 888888 Qui-Gon followed Welian to his home. It had started to rain, hard. He would not have made it back to the ship. // I hope Jaina and Obi-Wan are all right. // he worried. He walked into the home with Welian screaming " I'm home!" Qui-Gon looked around the small home and saw a girl about 13 or 14 years old. She had black leather pants on with knee high boots and a green shirt. She had short dark brown hair and a blaster hanging at her hip. " Mom and Dad are out Welian." The girl said while she was looking into a mirror. " Where are they? I brought home a guy, he needs a place ta stay for tonight." Welian said. He then turned to Qui-Gon and said, " This is Qui-Gon," he introduced him to the girl " and this my younger sister Vivica." Qui-Gon nodded and said hello. They sat around the table and ate a small dinner. Qui-Gon was surprised of how Vivica acted. She was very polite, funny, and happy. Qui-Gon thought that by the way she looked she would be a smart mouth teenager. After they ate they sat around the living area and talked. Vivica was nothing like her brother. Qui-Gon looked at her hip to see the blaster and was confused. // Why does she carry a blaster? // Vivica noticed Qui-Gon staring and said, " I carry this for protection. Some people here are nuts. It's always set for stun, so that no one gets hurt." Qui-Gon nodded. " So… Welian told me you have kids. Why didn't ya bring them along?" she asked. " I heard this planet was dangerous and didn't want them to be in danger." " So you left them alone on a ship!" Vivca said. " That might be even more dangerous than bring em' here. The outskirts are usually where some of the gangsters hang out and deal. Hopefully they don't get into any probs." Qui-Gon was now more than ever regretting leaving Jaina and Obi-Wan back at the ship. He would have to communicate them. " Do you think I can contact them now?" he asked. " Yah, the storm is a little bit better than it was earlier. Mom and Dad are probably stayin' at our grandparents house." Welian said. Qui-Gon stood up, said his thanks, and left to the small room he had been given for the night. " Master?" Obi-Wan's voice came over the comlink. " Yes, Obi-Wan. Is everything O.K.?" " Well, there was this feeling I got earlier that felt like the darkside, but I think it was nothing." Obi-Wan said confident. " Where is Jaina?" " She's in the refresher unit. We had a…," Obi-Wan stopped as if embarrassed " a small food fight and well she got more food on her." " Obi-Wan." Qui-Gon said in a stern voice, but was amused. // The ship must be a wreck! // " Sorry Master." Obi-Wan said softly. " Well have the ship cleaned up by the time I get back tomorrow, about mid-day." " Tomorrow! I thought you would be back by tonight." Obi-Wan said. He was upset. " There's a bad storm out. I'm staying at a young man's home for tonight. I have to go my Padawan." " Bye Master." 8888888 Jaina and Obi-Wan were up before the sun, which was very rare for them. They had to get the ship clean before Qui-Gon got back. There was food on the seats and all over the floor. Lubricant was on the floor and made is hard to walk without slipping. Finally, about 2 hours later Jaina and Obi-Wan were done. " Finally! Wait… you missed a spot!" Jaina said jokingly at Obi-Wan and then pushed him to the spot. Obi-Wan flew across the floor and then slipped and fell on some lubricant that was on the floor. He hit his head on the seat and then fell onto the floor. Jaina rushed to him to see if he was O.K. " Sorry Obi." Jaina said helping Obi-Wan to his feet. He now had a red mark on his forehead. " Yah right!" he said then nudged his elbow into Jaina's ribs and then gave a mischievous grin. She looked at him smiling and was about to push him again, when her smile turned into a frown. Obi-Wan's smile also turned into a frown. " I have a bad feeling." Jaina said under her breath. The Force was telling them something. Obi-Wan and Jaina started to run towards the ramp. They needed to get out of here. They were almost down the ramp when the ship exploded. TBC
