What a day! We completed our first day of shooting and it was great! Our cast is amazing! They work hard through anything-heat, sweat, kissing, action, falling, you name it. And my crew is great-no one could ask for a more dedicated crew! And we've been having a lot of fun! We got through a big chunk of shots today, about 35 shots total. Tomorrow will be a big day because we didn't have the Mom Nikki here today, so we'll have to move quickly! I'm just glad that we could shoot today...so many details and discussions that had to take place! Thanks for a great day gang! See you bright and early tomorrow! P.S. And thanks to my great family for letting us take over their house for 2 days! 9/25/06 So we have our cast finalized and will be shooting this weekend! We had our first rehearsal tonight that included a table-read and some costuming. So far everyone loves the script and is laughing at all the right places. I met with Starla my Production Designer tonight as well and I'm looking forward to seeing how she puts the Asian motif together. This week is full of last-mintue details and rehearsals, but I'm confident that it will call come together. 9/18/06 So 3 out of 5 cast have been confirmed! Congrats to Bambi Liu, Luke Van Pelt, and our little brother Joshua Ogner! We are still casting quickly for the 2 parents, but in the meantime will start rehearsals, tech scouts, and storyboards. We are looking for a good smart production designer and a talented still photographer to complete our crew. Otherwise the website is pretty simple but informative, and I can't wait to shoot! 9/15/06 After several weeks of casting, we will be confirming our actors this weekend. We are still looking for a suitable mother and father role, but I am very pleased with the actors for Marla and David. Our tentative shoot dates are Saturday through Sunday, Sept. 30-Oct.1st in South Pasadena, CA. Please keep checking the website as we continue moving forward on this project! |
