Ireland May 2003
Jack and I flew from Baltimore, MD to Shannon Ireland on Aer LIngus.  Upon arrival we got our rental car (automatic transmission) and set out to see the country.  My, my are the roads different.  What we consider a country lane is a major route in Ireland.  Our first stop was Tipperary.  It really wasn't a long, long way.  We stayed mostly in B&B's and ate in the pubs during the day.  First meal in Ireland was a traditional Irish breakfast.  After that I stuck with oatmeal.  They have some strange things on the breakfast plate, like baked beans and grilled tomatoe and mushroom.  Not to mention the Black and White pudding.  UGH.

The people of Ireland are delightful.  Very friendly and helpful.
