La Cala was originally a fishing village. Its houses are in the main white and the streets are lined with palm trees.
La Cala has a long clean beach that as been awarded the Blue Flag for environmental, sanitary and safety standards. It's beach is amongst the best in the province and is used for skiing and parasending.
