La Cala has plenty of restaurants offering a wide range of quality meals from Chinese to Indian, Spanish, Thai and English. There are plenty of bars to enjoy an evening drink. Sport bars to watch your favourite teams play.
La Cala has a new shopping complex with supermarket, banks, hairdressers, excursion booking office, toy shop, exchange bureau and other shops selling quality products.
La Cala has a market every Saturday. It sells many different products from fruit & veg to clothes, linen, sweets, spices, spanish pottery etc.
La Cala has a new Hippodromo (Horse Racing Course) about 5 minutes drive away. In the summer months racing starts on Saturday evening at 10.30pm till 2.00am. In the winter months (still quite warm) the racing starts on Sundays at 11.30 am till 3.00 pm. There are bars and restaurants, some with live bands. You can place your bets at the Tote counter. Its a excellent day or night out.
La Cala has a beautiful Golf Course. If your into golf, you must visit La Cala Golf Course. Even if your not a golfer, take a drive over to the golf course to see the beautiful setting and scenery. Its about a 10 minute drive away.
Other attractions only 10 to 15 minutes away. Waterpark at Fuengirola and 30 minutes away waterpark at Torremolinos. Costa Del Sol Cable Car, Tivoli World Theme Park, Sealife Aquarium and a beautiful marina are are all at Benalmadena. Marbella, Porto Banus are about a 25 minutes drive away. The beautiful mountain village of Mijas is only a short drive away. Gibraltar with its cable car, Barbay Monkeys and the mountain town of Rhonda are both about 90 minutes away.
