My peaceful and charming hometown, MALABUYOC, CEBU
This is the town I grew up with... the peaceful MALABUYOC. It is located 125 km away from the city of CEBU.

I was born and raised here. I had a lot of memories in this beloved town. We were still living in a NIPA HUT, with no electricity (we only used a kerosene lamp at nightime)... but we're HAPPY.

I graduated my elementary years  in Malabuyoc Central Elementary School. This school was one of the best schools in Cebu where well-trained and respected teachers were teaching. It was 10-min-walk from my house.

My teenage years (high school) were spent also in this town. My friends and relatives who grew up with me had much fun especially at night when my cousins played guitar and everybody would sing (regardless of whatever voice one had).  There were times that we went night swimming or just be in the seashore for fun. We gathered coconut shells, put some charcoal and kerosene in it then lit it up and just let it flow in the ocean.

The best times were during summer vacation (April-May) when friends from the city came and spent their vacation in this town. We went to go "LAMAW" (the term for mixed coconut fruit, milk, crackers, soda nad sugar) at my grandpa's place.

I had some views of my town that I posted here. I got it from my cousin, Johanna's website:
