| Barbara Eden was born Barbara Jean Moorhead on August 23, 1934 in Tucson Arizona. Her friends call her by her nickname BJ. Barbara graduated from Abe. Lincon High school in San Fransico in 1949. During her high school carrer she was a cheerleader. Barbara's first film role was Back From eternity in 1956. More of her television and movie roles include: How to marry a millionaire (1957), I Dream of Jeannie (1965-1970), Harper Valley PTA (1981-1982), Visions of Murder, and A Howling in the Woods. She has been married three times the first time to Michael Ansara which she had a son Matthew Michael born on August 29 1965. Then to Charels Donald Fegert, and finally to her current husband Jon Eicholtz. Barbara's parents divorced when she was only three years old. And on June 25, 2001 her only son and child Matthew died in an accidental overdose at the age of 35. He was supposed to be married in September. Barbara's carrer skyrocketed in the hit television show I Dream of Jeanie, where she played Major Anthony Nelson's (Larry Hagman) genie named Jeannie. She was very much in love with her master and her only wish was to marry him someday. She would get her wish and the two would go on to have a son named Anthony Jr. Barbara and Larry would reunite 1 year after IDOJ in the made for television movie "A Howling in the Woods" where they would portray a married couple. Also in Larry's hit television show "Dallas" Barbara would guest star as an old college girlfriend that comes back for revenge against J.R. It's no wonder why they were named one of the top 5 couples (Jeannie and Tony).
