Supplies Needed: video,  terrariums, caterpillars/food, Styrofoam cups, soil, pots, Morning Glory plants, Zinnia seeds, Daisy plants, water, jars w/lids, pencils, markers, crayons, stapler, paper, construction paper, glue, vegetable dies, plastic pop bottle w/cap, scissors. 

FOCUS QUESTION:

How do organisms interrelate?

 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Students will develop understanding of interrelationship of organisms by utilizing Internet research skills.

Students will develop observation and analytical skills.

Students will utilize technology to present data and produce assignments.

Students will determine cause and effect between two different biomes and plant treatments.

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

Display multi media by preparing bulletin boards of food chain, life cycle, indigenous animals and plants by continent, display of Morning Glory Plants and caterpillars in the classroom.  Class discussion will focus upon how plants and animals interrelate.

 

EVALUATION OF CONTENT:

Students will graph observations and develop an analytical presentation to be scored.  Students will be given quizzes and tests. The number of correctly answered questions from assignments quizzes and tests will determine the attainment of content.
