They were recorded on cassette with a Radio Shack mixer, a turntable, a couple of cassette decks and a microphone, then sent via the U.S. Mail all over the US and the world, circa 1986/87.
At the time, I charged $1 postage paid for a 60 or 90 min cassette and it cost a measly 39 cents to send (in the US).
