| I should look for the exact details, but Fangio planned to fly from England to Italy in Prince Bira's airplane, but Bira left without him. Fangio had to improvise. He rented an Aurelia (of course) and got involved in an accident. Thanks to his skills he managed to get through breaking only his lower arm. This pic comes from a car magazine in which Fangio explains the accident. |
