| It's very pleasant to meet people sharing the same interest and a friendly man mailed me these pictures showing a Nardi inlet manifold for the Lancia Flaminia. It really came as a surprise to me as I never heard of such part before. The only Nardi catalog I have makes no mention of this item, and the only available parts for the Flaminia were 2 types of camshafts. I guess this part dates from the very early 1960's, when the 2500 engines came with a single SOLEX carb as it makes no sense to use this inlet manifold if the other multicarb setups were available from Lancia (1 triple Solex or 3 double Webers). I did some research on this manifold and it seems they came with two kind of carburettors. The most obvious one (by modern standards) being a 4 barrel Holley but more exotic 4 barrel WEBER's as used on some Ferrari MM engines were also used... |
