Younica

YOUNICA 2004 is an international media project involving youngsters from 5 european countries: Poland, Italy, Slovakia, Danemark and Germany. Basic idea is to experience intermedial communication across the borderlines. The direct exchange via medial pictures as well as young perspectives of living will be forced in common production of broadcast magazines showing differences and similarities in reflection of real live by young people.

The camp consists of 2 parts. The introduction of media and media work and training in teams took place in Wismar (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany). An international team of tutors taught knowledge and abilities in conceptional work, in production-based training with videocamera and digital editing and internet-streaming of videos. In the second part they got use of their experience by documenting the World Competition on non-commercial Movies (UNICA 2004) in Veitshoechheim (Bavaria) in a self-made TV-magazine broadcasted in the internet and presented at the festival.
