My great great grandfather was Andrew Sloan, ( a shoemaker in Ireland)  died before 1862.
"I don't know how many childern he had" . His son my great grandfather was called
Edward Sloan ,he was born in 1843, He was married in 1862 to
Ann Cavendar, born in Carlisle in 1846, the daughter of John Cavendar.
He was a cotton weaver who deid before 1862.
They had eight children four boy's and four girl's.who's names are,
Andrew Sloan born Carlisle in 1863.
Agnes Sloan born Newcastle in 1866.
Margaret Sloan born Carlisle in 1869.
Mary Sloan born South Shields in 1876.
Anne Sloan born South Shields in 1879.
James Sloan unknown ???
Robert Sloan born South Shields in 1883 (my grandfather).
Edward Sloan born South Shields in 1885.
