You're Adrienne Delaney, a young writer, who has it all, a successful job, a loving husband, good money and an incredibly repetitive wardrobe. Then one day, your husband comes home and tells you to he's bought a house off the coast of New England. You move in to the old house and nothing could get better. When the nightmares begin. Torture devices, hands emerging from the bed, the whole nine yards. You shrug them off and try to ignore them, when your husband begins to turn on you . . .

Oooooo, the suspence! What a great plot, eh?? That coupled with fantastic sound, excellent graphics, blood, guts and all the goodies, gives you Phantasmagoria.

Phantasmagoria was first released in 1995 and struck the world hard. It was claimed to be "visually stunning," (Billboard Magazine), "... just might be the spookiest, creepiest computer game released..." (Editors Choice) and my all time favorite "Phantasmagoria will keep you perched on the edge of your keyboard!" (USA Today). Aside from positive reviews, Phantasmagoria was also the winner of the CGR's Golden Triad Award. As with all things, of course, there were bad reviews as well. CompUSA said it would not stock the product, The New York Post called the game "sick" and it was even banned by the government in Australia!!

What do I think?? It's a computer gaming wonder, definately one of Roberta Williams' best. It completely changed my mind about horror! (I'm now a horror adict! Bwa ha ha ha!) I would definatly suggest it to any older gamer. This game probably shouldn't be viewed in it's Adult version by anyone under fifteen, (unless the person's really sick, like me). However there is a version included, that's safe for practically anybody over eleven. But don't take my word for it, be your own judge, after all, I don't know your kids, you do.

Although Phantasmagoria II was also a pretty good game, (not 1/2 as good as Phantasmagoria), I didn't do a review or anything, since it was not created by Roberta Williams.
