KQ7 was first released back in 1994, and was generally loved by children and almost rejected by some older people. Why, you ask?? Simply because of the Disney style animation and the cutesy characters. This didn't go for everybody, of course. I loved the game then and love it now. Not just for the graphics, but for the plot, characters, challenge and, (of course) the fact that we got the opportunity to play two characters, instead of just one, and because it had a first appearance as Valenice as the hero, instead of the victim.

The game begins, when Rosella jumps into a pool of water and is transported to the magical land of Etheria, followed closely by her mother, Valenice. However, Rosella is pulled into the Troll Kingdom, while Valenice is sent into the middle of a scorching hot desert. They travel throughout the land, Rosella trying to stop the evil Sorceress Malecia and Valenice trying to find her lost daughter. They finally meet up in the final chapter of the game, shortly before Malecia is transformed into a baby, the Troll King's imposter is revealed as Edgar, (from KQ4). And in final scene, Edgar, (son of Oberon and Titania), is allowed to court Rosella. (That is of course, if you manage to save Edgar's life.)
