King's Quest VI Short Walkthrough



WARNING: This path only includes about 50% of the total puzzles, therefore contains only 50% of the fun! :-)

Get royal insignia ring. Move plank. Open box. Get coin. Walk to village. Go in 'Ali's Books'. Talk to owner to learn of location. Talk and learn about ferryman. Exit. Go to docks. Ignore the guy swimming, (note gold eyes). Talk to ferryman to get let in. Talk to ferryman until he starts repeating himself. Get rabbit's foot. Exit ferry. Walk to village. Go in Pawn shopp. Get mint. Talk to owner about map. Use Royal Insignia ring on owner to get map. Use Daventry coin on owner. Get the nightingale. Exit pawnshop. Walk to village 2. Go back to village. Click on garbage outside pawnshop. Walk to beach. Click on Isle Of the Sacred Mountain.

Get flower. Use map. Click on Isle of Wonder.

Walk north. Use flower on first gnome. Use nightingale on second gnome. Use mint on third gnome. Use rabbits foot on fourth gnome. Use bottle on Alexander for fifth gnome. Walk to garden. Get iceberg lettuce. (Do nothing else once you have lettuce). Go to beach. Use map. Go to Isle Of The Beast.

Go north. Use lettuce on water. Go through water. DON'T go through the gates, ignore gardener. Get brick. Walk to beach. Use map. Go to Isle Of The Crown.

Walk to village. Go in pawn shop. Use nightingale on owner. Get flute. Exit pawn shop. Walk to beach. Use map. Click on Isle Of Wonder.

Walk to garden. Look through hole-in-the-wall. Click on hole-in-the-wall. Use flute on wallflowers. Get hole-in-the-wall. Enter gates. Walk towards knights. Get red scarf. Walk to beach. Use map. Go to Isle of the Crown.

Walk to village. Go in pawn shop. Use flute on owner. Get tinder box. Exit. Go to beach. Use map. Click on Isle Of the Sacred Mountain.

Look at writing. Click on R-I-S-E, one letter per word. Climb steps. Look at puzzle. Spell out S-O-A-R using translation in guidebook. Climb steps. Look at third puzzle. Click on stone 4, stone 1, then stone 3. Walk to next puzzle. Click on puzzle. Using the guidebook, click on azure, the caterpiller, tranquility and air. Climb steps. Look at last puzzle. Spell A-S-C-E-N-D one letter per word. Climb to top. Ignore genie. Go in small cave. Use tinder box. walk east. Get mint leaves. Leave cave. Walk to city gates.

Go N-N-N-W. Starting to Alexander's right, walk on the three rose tiles, then the crown, then the dove, then the skull and crossbones and finally the blank tile. Go W-N. Get shield. N-N-E. Throw brick in gears. E-E-N-E. Use tinderbox. W-W-W-W-W-S-S-E. Use hole-in-the-wall on east wall. Go W-W-W-S-S-E-S-E-E-N-E-N-N. Flick latch behind tapestry. Go through door. When you're near the pit, use the red scarf on Minoteur. Get dagger from Lady Celeste. Use magic map. Go to Isle of Mists.

Go west to village. Get scythe. Go to beach. Use magic map. Go to Isle of the Beast.

Go to stone archer. Use shield on archer. Get rose. Use scythe on plant. Go to beach. Use magic map. Go to Isle of the Crown.

Go to village 2. Give white rose to 'Beauty.' Give ring to 'Beauty.' Automatically go to Isle of the Beast.

Go to beach. Use magic map. Go to Isle of the Crown.

Go to village. Go in pawn shop. Give tinder box to owner. Get nightingale. Leave pawn shop. Go to castle. Wear Beauty's clothes to enter castle.

Walk up left staircase. Use wind-up nightingale on floor when gaurds are facing AWAY from Alexander. Go quickly behind pillar. (Hand on pillar to hide.) Move picture. Take nail. Go out to the hallway. Enter Vizier's room. Use nail on trunk to open it. Get letters. Leave room. Replace nail and picture. Go to north hallway. Talk to door. Give dagger to Cassima. Go back to west hallway. Hide behind pillar. Go out into hallway. Quickly walk downstairs. Show Saladin the letter. In throne room. Walk forward, OR talk to Vizier/Cassima. Use mirror on Cassima. Follow Vizier when he tries to run. At top, Use peppermint leaves on genie. Get ceremonial sword hanging on wall. Use sword on Vizier. When Cassima stabs him, quickly use sword on Vizier.
