"Laura, YOU are a geneous!" Vicky whispered as Laura hunched over Krystal's sleeping form, holding a bottle of toothpaste.

"Shhhh! She'll wake up!" Brenna hissed from where she lay excitedly on her sleeping bag. Krystal and Karen were the only two still asleep, the other three were up and waiting expectantly as Laura unscrewed the bottle of toothpaste. Karen hadn't told anyone where Christine was, for simple reasons, she didn't want mass panic, and she was still hopeful there was some way to get the demon out of Krystal in an unviolent manner. She'd tried talking to her father, but he hadn't been responding to her. Krystal had told everyone that Christine had locked herself upstairs and just needed to be alone for awhile, a story Karen went along with. She now lay in a fitful rest beside her friends.

"Are you sure we shouldn't do this to Karen?? Krystal's been in a bitchy mood all day." Laura said, holding the bottle out to Brenna who was sitting closest to Karen.

"No!" Vicky persisted. "Who knows, this may even cheer her up a little." Laura looked at her skeptically but held the bottle over Krys' now open mouth and squeezed it hard. A stream of green toothpaste landed in Krys' mouth, it slowly began to develop in her mouth until finally she gasped and her eyes opened. Laura put the lid back on the bottle. Sitting up, Krys clawed at her lips coughing then finally spat the green goo into her hands. Karen sat up.

"Huh?? What?? What's going on??" She mumbled, squinting over at the other four girls. She took in all that was happening mentally kicked herself. Krystal was obviously outraged and being posessed by a demon didn't help much.

"You shouldn't have done that!" Krystal mumbled under her breath, but only Karen heard her, the other three were in hysterics lying on the ground holding their stomachs. Krystal clenched her fists and headed up the stairs.

"That was good!" Vicky said, still chuckling.

"Yeh, but now I SERIOUSLY need to use the can," Laura commented heading for the stairs after Krystal.

"Oh, damnit." Karen said under her breath. "Dad, where the hell are you?!"

"What did you say, Karen?" Brenna asked.

"Nothing!" Karen said sharply. "Just nothing! You wouldn't care if I told you anyways!" Vicky and Brenna starred at Karen.

"Karen, what's wrong??" Vicky asked a little concerned.

"Nothing. NOTHING!!! It doesn't matter!!" She said harshly, before heading into the kitchen to find something to eat. The two girls left over shrugged and lay down to try and get some shut eye.

"Krystal??" Laura looked nervously around her, she'd followed Krys up to the top floor, but had lost her on the top landing, she peeked into a small room to her right, a crib sat at the far end, with a strange mist hanging over it, Laura blinked and shook her head. She was a lot more tired then she'd thought! She'd actually started seeing things. Sighing, she turned and looked around, there were four other rooms on that floor, one, directly to her left was closed and, after trying it, she discovered it was locked tight. She knocked.

"Christine?? You in there??" She got no response, so kept looking around the rooms, there was also a washroom, (which she would use later), and two other rooms.

One was a very large, round room that appeared to be some sort of conservatory, it was relatively empty, with only a few peices of furniture and a large, oil painting with a really freaky looking monster painted on it. Laura shivered at the sight and quickly went back out into the hall.

The other room appeared to have once been a bedroom, there was a large, beautiful bed, with metal vines forming a scant canopy of the bed. There was an oak dresser, completely covered in dust and a cold fire place with the ashes of a fire burned long ago. There was also a pile of metal peices on a desk that was pushed under the window next to the bed and Laura went over to examine them. They appeared to be the remainders of what was once a laptop computer. She picked up one of the metal peices and jumped back in horror as a young woman in her mid twenties appeared in the chair.

"Ms Delaney???!!!" Laura asked the woman in shock, it was definately Karen's mother, but a lot younger. The woman seemed to not even notice that Laura was there.

"Adrienne, where are you?." A very annoyed male voice yelled form somewhere in the house.

"I'm in here." Adrienne responded.

"Where?"

"In here, in the bedroom." She yelled back. Laura blinked at the woman, the laptop that had previously been smashed, now sat, in perfect working order infront of her on the desk. The door to the bedroom, (which had mysteriously closed), burst open and a man with long dark brown hair and fierce eyes entered.

"What are you doing?" He demanded staring into her eyes.

"Well, I'm, ya know, Im starting my new book," Adrienne responded calmly.

"So what?! I thought I told you to buy drain cleaner, now did you do it?!"

"What? Drain cleaner?!

Dont be coy with me! I asked you several times to go buy me drain cleaner, now did you do it? Adrienne looked panicked.

You said the sink was clogged in your dark room, but you never asked me to go get any drain cleaner!! I would have remembered something like that!" Adrienne said, surprised. Laura saw a crazed look in the man's eyes and wondered if this was the father that Karen had spoken so highly of.

"Ya know, this is just like you, I bust my ass for you all the time and you don't do anything but sit on your butt like your doing now!" He snarled.

"What? What's wrong with you?! I don't understand!" Adrienne said, jumping to her feet to face her seemingly crazed husband.

"Fine," he said softly, then raised his voice, to stress the words. "FINE! Next time you want something, don't come crawling to me!" With that he turned quickly and stormed out of the room.

"Fine! I'll go to the store and get your god damn drain cleaner!" Adrienne yelled back, her voice full or rage, frustration and . . . something else, sadness. Then in an instant, Adrienne faded and disapeared. The laptop was now it's previous wrecked state. Laura took a deep breath. What the hell had Karen's parents been doing in that dreaded house?! She shook her head, she had to talk to Karen about it. She desperatly wanted to get out of the house as a sense of fear was beginning to grow in the pit of her stomach. Laura took a deep breath and walked from the room, almost afraid that the man would be waiting in the hallway, ready to murder her where she stood.

As she passed the washroom, her bladder reminded her of how long it had been since she'd gone to the washroom and she decided to take a break then. She walked into the very blue washroom and closed the door securely behind her. She turned and gasped at the sight before her. Painted on the mirror in red paint . . . or was it blood? Were two, simple words, Consumite Furore. Laura bit her lip, and turned quickly, wanting to get out of there as fast as she could, but she came face to face with Krystal and breathed a sigh of relief.

"Where have you been? I've been looking everywhere for you!" Laura said with a smile. Krystal just stared into her eyes and with a stark realisation, Laura recognised the same cold, empty hatred that she'd seen in the man's eyes only minutes before. "Krystal?" She asked with a shaking voice.

"Consumite Furore. O spiritus tenebrarum, Magne Asteroth te iubeo, implete eum viribus furore. Implete eum viribus furore." Laura was now far beyond scared and her mind was screaming at her to run, but there was no where she could go, no where to run! Krystal . . . no, it wasn't Krystal, IT was blocking the doorway, her only exit out. She had no idea what Krystal was saying, but she slowly backed away from her as a strange mist filled the room and Krystal's eyes glowed a faint green color and her volume increased. Suddenly, Laura felt herself being lifted off the ground. Krystal was very near yelling.

"CONSUMITE FURORE!!!! IMPLETE EUM VIRIBUS FURORE!!!!! TE IUBEO!!!!" As Laura was lifted off the ground, she felt a great pain in her temples and the warmth of fresh blood run down from her ears and nose. Instinctively she tried to wipe away the blood, but realised that she couldn't move her hand! As Laura's fear grew and grew, Krystal's excitment did as well and finally she shouted in English. "FILL IT WITH YOUR RAGE!!! I COMMAND YOU!!! I COMMAND YOU!!!!!" With an ear peircing shriek, Laura flew across the room and hit the wall on the other end of the washroom. Her head cracked, as is collided with the cold stone. She fell to the floor in a motionless heap. Krystal smiled and laughed evilly, as the mist began to clear and the room began to fill with the stench of blood, fear and death. She quickly put on her most panicked expression as Karen, Vicky and Brenna rushed up the stairs, to see what was the matter. Krystal began to scream, as if on cue and the three threw the door to the washroom open.

"Oh shit!" Karen said with fury and despair wrapped into one. They all stared at where Laura lay in a quickly growing pool of blood. They stood starring for what seemed like ages.

"I think I'm gonna puke!" Brenna finally said with a moan, Krystal quickly grabbed a garbage can from the corner and held it out for Brenna who brought it into the hall and emptied her stomach into the black bucket. Karen went over to make sure she was alright.

"What happened?!" Vicky asked in shock, as she and Krystal followed the two out of the washroom.

"She fell off the can," Krystal said sarcastically.

"That's not funny!" Karen said, woried and Vicky put an arm on her shoulder, but she pulled back sharply, making Vicky jump. Brenna looked up after she'd finished her business with tears streaming down her cheeks.

"What are we supposed to do?!" She asked with desperation. Krystal almost laughed at the sound, but restrained herself.

"We should just wait until the bridge is clear, then we can go back to the mainland, and inform the authorities," Krystal said, a little coldly. Karen glared at her.

"Laura is dead!" She said in anger. "Who knows what happened to Christine?! Something on this island is killing us! If we wait," Karen shook her head. "It might be too late." Vicky bit her lip.

"She's right," was all Vicky said.

"What are we supposed to do?!" Brenna asked again. Krystal glared at her, her temper quickly returning. She'd tasted blood and was longing for another kill, but she would have to wait, wait until the timing was right, kill each of them slowly, watch the fear grow until finally . . . she'd snuff the last of them out like candles.

"I don't know about you, but I'm going to bed!" Krystal said heading for the stairs.

"Don't let the bed bugs bite!" Vicky said trying to lighten the mood.

"That's not funny," Karen repeated. She watched Krystal make her way down the stairs and then heard her return to the first floor. Vicky went to follow her, but Karen held her back and shook her head.

"Wait." Brenna and Vicky gave her a strange look. "There's something I need to tell you two." She whispered. "What time is it?" Vicky checked her watch.

"Almost six." Karen nodded.

"Good, that means the sun should be coming up soon. When it does, I want you all to meet me in the barn, but don't tell Krystal . . . whatever you do. Your lives may depend on it." Brenna and Vicky looked confussed, but nodded in concent.

"What are we going to do about Laura's . . . " Brenna couldn't bring herself to say it, but they all knew what she ment. Karen shook her head.

"I don't know, we should just leave it for now, worry about it in the morning. The police will want all our bodies at the crime scenes when they start the investigation. Ten to one we're not gonna get out alive."

"Don't talk like that! Of course we're gonna make it out of here alive!" Brenna said, angrily. Karen shook her head and looked sadly into Brenna's eyes.

"In all honesty, I'm not so sure we will."
