| Kevin and Donna's little girl was born at 5.40am on Monday 15th January, two weeks early. She is very tiny weighing only 5lbs 110zs. Dark hair quite a lot and her eyes are sure to turn brown as her mothers are that colour. There will be pictures at a later date but at the moment her parents want to keep her to themselves. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Update 3rd February. Maddison will be three weeks old on Monday and after a shaky start of two and three hour feeds because of her size and because she was a little jaundiced she is now progressing. When she went to the clinic on Thursay she now weight 6lbs 2ozs. so is still very tiny compared with her cousin and even more so with her other cousin Millie who is Donna's sisters baby who was born two days after Mollie and is a whopper. Donna says if she doesn't grow she will get "beaten up" by her two big cousins in the future ! All in all bearing in mind she was early she is doing very well. Kevin and Donna are still getting some very disturbed nights but we keep telling them that will pass eventually. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Update 22nd March 2001.Maddison is progressing very well now, in fact this week she put on a massive eleven ounces in one week.She now weighs 9 lbs 4 ozs. She seems to be getting very long perhaps not surprising as her mum is 5ft 8ins and her dad 6 ft 4. Still small compared with her cousin and even smaller than her other cousin Milly who is Donna's sisters baby and the same age as Molly, she now weighs 14 lbs. Maddison is going through the night most nights, but is a very"windy" baby. She and Molly are so different she is dark , against Molly's fair and long rather than round. Donna and Kevin still do not want any photo's put on so I am abiding by their wishes |

| Update 7th May. Maddison now weghs a huge 12lbs 8 ozs and is rapidly catching up with her cousin Molly. She is also down to four feeds a day and therefore sleeps for a ten hour stretch at night. Donna has now gone back to work full time so childminding begins. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Update 27th May 2001. Maddison is progressing well like her cousin Molly. This week she weighed fourteen pounds two ounces, so is rapidly catching Molly up. I think give it a few more weeks and she may well pass Molly. Bearing in mind how much smaller she was at birth I find this fascinating. I can only think that there metabolism is different as Molly has more solids than Maddison so would have thought she would gain more weight. She is not quite sitting up on her own yet. but she chats and gurgles and takes great interest in everything around her. Brian and I look after her on a Friday and that is going quite well. Like Molly she recognises people. It is fascinating on a Friday lunchtime when we have the two of them together for an hour. Bearing in mind their fathers are brothers there is not one similar thing about them one so fair and one so dark, one blue eyed one brown.Mind you there are probably the same differences between their fathers, Tim was fair and Kevin dark. Kevin is the taller by 4 inches at 6ft4. All in all things are going well. Like Tim and Lisa Kevin and Donna are doting parents so probably another lot of spoiling. I am just fascinated by them both. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Update 7th October 2001. I was right about weight Maddison did pass Molly and she now weighs over 19lbs. She is not crawling yet but tries very hard and it wont be long and she is also cutting teeth but has not managed to produce one yet. She is a real smiler and most of the time is a happy child. Except at night when she keeps her mother awake. Kevin misses it as he is working nights at the moment. |
