After my mother's death in September of 2001, my dad and I began reorganizing his house.  It gave us something to do, and we found many treasures that had been stored away.  In one of his file drawers, we found two notebooks labeled "Peckham Family Tree."  They were similar, but not identical, and both were crudely typed.  There were  loose pages in the notebooks including a typed sheet by an unknown author and handwritten pages by Irene Peckham Hildebrandt.  I realized that in the age we live in, the only way these documents would be shared and updated was if they were brought into the electronic age.

With the help of my youngest daughter, I transcribed each page from both notebooks and the loose pages.  My intention was to combine all of the information into one family tree.  I found it much easier to transcribe everything word for word than to condense them into one document. 

Let me say that I loathe the word "pedigree."  In truth, this is not my pedigree.  My brother and I were adopted into the Peckham family March 15, 1957.  While our "pedigree" is unknown, this is the only family we have.    

The information found in these transcripts ends with my father's generation.  The following will pick up where Wallace S. Peckham's research ended and my own immediate family begins.
