Retired to Claiborne Farm at the end of his career, he sired Belmont winner RISEN STAR and Horse of the Year LADY'S SECRET, among others.
But none of his progeny would ever come close to his perfection.
Secretariat inspired horse racing fans of all ages when he raced. His impact was so great that he even has fans who are too young to have witnessed him race live.
This is our shrine to him, the big red horse who proved that mortals could fly.
