Turning to my left I see you smiling at me. Reaching out for you, to try to pull you close, I feel the chill wind graze the inner of my arms. It was so surreal. I call out your name, I cry for you but you don't hear me. The obscure surrounding closes in on me. I fear. For I am without you. I feel small as I stand alone, overwhelmed by the thought of facing another day denied of you. I got lost searching for you, lost in this complicated style of living. I hear your voice everywhere calling out for me. Your image appears at the corner of my eyes but i never get to see you in the centre of my view. I am exhausted. Life drains out of my body through the dash across my right wrist. Memories of us together flash through my mind. Eyelids grow heavy, my vision blurs, I try my best to stay awake. I see the pool of red fluid on the floor - oh, what a mess. My sight sharpens now. I see you again. This time, i grab you by the wrist before you vanish once more. The touch of your delicate skin to the tip of my fingers is total reality. I am finally where you are. We will not be separated again. |

It is night. So soon, it is dark once again. The ambient is tranquil. Even the nocturnal insects are not up seeking for food. They seem to be dead asleep. The still of the night suffocates me. | One night I was sitting at my computer playing my favourite songs, The phone rang and I picked it up that was by me all along. "Hello," the voice said, "I am the love you've been searching for ever." "Oh hello," was my reply, "did you get the wrong number?" "Let's meet up," came the voice again, and that was all that was said. I concluded a prank call and with that I went to bed. A few days passed and that call was forgotten. I was walking in the streets and stranger things started to happen. A lone woman stopped me in my path and introduced herself as Nancy, Taken aback by the sudden initiation from a stranger, I forced a smile in her direction and scurried to leave that place immediately. She pulled me back by the wrist and tried to explain, But I was of no interest to what she had to say, I turned my head and in her face I said, "Leave me alone, just go away!" She placed herself in front of me and said she was The Caller from a few nights before, I had recalled the previous incident, "And now you're a stalker. What more?" Remember, we were positioned in the public and were attracting much unwanted attention, Hence, she pointed to a nearby cafe and there, she will clear up this confusion. She started by saying she had taken a liking to me when she caught me in the neighbourhood, But how she got my number, she refused to tell me. Each time I questioned, she would start singing 'Every girl's a mystery'. She was a year younger, and with eyes so bright and hair so fine, Sitting beside her was like a scene in my dreams; I had never seen such a beautiful woman in my life. Things began to pick up as we chatted and soon it was time to part, She left no contact numbers but promised to stay in touch. Making my way home thinking about today, I was grinning from ear to ear. Disbelieving, that something so wonderful would ever happen to me, For this young lady has got me falling in love with her so hopelessly. Our feelings for each other were right; sparks between us flew very soon. The next time we met we were holding hands; the 3rd time together, we were on the bed in my room. That night she placed my hand over hers as she stripped herself bare. My fingers traced the contours of her body; my lips planted kisses everywhere. In less than a week since we first met, We had our first hot intoxicating mind-blowing sex. Mum entered the room the next morning, To ensure I was up for a medical appointment I was scheduled for. I grew wide awake, when I realised I had forgotten to lock the damn door! I had my shirt, but there was a woman with me in bed with no clothes on! Thankfully Mum saw my open eyes and and in an instant, she was gone. I was relieved Nancy was sleeping under the covers, Or nothing I tell my mum, no lies will ever calm her. Over dinner, during one of the conversations we usually had, She whispered she aint human and that freaked me out bad. She broke into a laugh and claimed it was only a test, I took her hands and reassured, "No matter what, this love's gonna last." After dark that same night, she questioned if my love will stay true. With my eyes fixed intently on hers,, "I don't care who you are or what you become, I will never leave you." Tears welled up as she fought these words through her cherry lips, "I'm sorry, my dear, I lied. I really am a ghost. But know that my love for you is real." I drew her close, "It doesn't matter," and with a kiss, our love was sealed. We watched the breaking dawn chased away the taunting gloom, As a new day began, our love story continued. For each second we have each other, we will cherish what we have today. After my death, I know, we will resume our love in another land faraway.
