No Redeeming Social Value
1) What is the name of your band?
We be N.R.S.V. - better know as the infamous artists formerly known as No
Redeeming Social Value

2) How did it get that name?
A drunken friend of ours gave it to us because he felt that it described our
drunken antics and overall demeanor.

3) How would you describe your music?
The best!!!!  Hardcore/ punkrock, with an '80s hairband attitude, meets
Run-Dmc in Jamica at a kickass party.

4) Who is in the band and what do they play?
K-Love plays guitar & vocals,  Nick O'Tine plays bass & Malboro Reds,
Insane James beats the beats, DeanMillerBeer - screams and hardcore
backflips, Dj Jazzy Zjolte - gut and Bong, Dick Van Buttlet - violin and
piano, Jah Rastafari - spiritual guidance.

5) What is the scene like in your community?
Always on the rise despite a few occasional minor setbacks and club
closings, etc.... All in all it's the best in the world - NYHC baby!!!

6) Who are the bands influences?
Drugs & Alcohol

8) How many groupies does the band have?

9) Have any members of the band had problems with heroin?
Not to my knowledge, but then again, i have had the  hub-caps of my hooptie
stolen one too many times to be a coincidence.....hmmmm, now you've got me
thinking.???....

10) How many pills do you take with your alcohol?
Usually two asprin before bed makes things a lot easier in the morning.

11) What is your favorite drink?
Olde English 800 Malt Liqour.

12) Do you smoke weed?
Dosen't everyone???

13) Do you skateboard?
Dosen't Everyone????

14) What do you think of skating these days?
If i spent time thinking about skating - then there wouldn't be enough time
to actually sk8.  That's the problem with sk8ing these days.  Too much talk
& not enough sk8ing.

15) How many tours have you been on?
Too many to remember.  We've been playing gigs for 14 years now.....so
that's....hmmmmm, let's seee....
i'd say a lot!

16) Have you played with any big acts?
Yeah, one time we played with this band called XXL (Double extra large).
Let me tell you - these guys were BIG.  I mean, when they sat around the
bar - they really sat AROUND the bar!  The couldn't even stand up on the
stage.  They sat down and played.  The total weight of the band had to be at
least 2,000 lbs. combined.  No, i'm not shitting you!!!

17) Will you ever sell out?
In order to "sell out" you have to have something to "sell."   So i think
that's where our major problem is.  The question really is not about selling
out as much as it is about "who's buyin??"

18) How old are you?
31 going on 13, or vice versa.

19) Any advice on how to pick up on chicks?
Get a fly car and a pocket full of loot$$$.   That's a good start.  If that
dosen't work, start a band.   Chicks dig that.

20) Do you like Kid Rock?
Yeah, that song by Big Bird about learning to count - one of my all time
favorites.    The best Kid Rock has to be Kermit the Frog doing the timeless
classic "It 'Aint Easy Being Green."  That's the best Kid Rock of all.  That
song will always be a classic.  It makes me misty-eyed everytime I hear it.
I really don't like all that Pokemon music though, and i really don't think
it's good for the youth of today, either.  Kid Rock should be about learning
things - about learning to count or tying your shoes, or staying off the
crack 'an shit.

21) Do you have any questions you'd like to ask yourself?
How did i get here??

22) Are there any up and coming bands you'd like to
mention?
How did i get here???

23) Have you ever been to Cheyenne, WY?
Yep.  Hell of a place....been to all the great National Parks.   Except
Badlands Natl in South Dakota ( i believe).

24) Have you ever heard of a band called FELT?
No, can't say i have - but that dosen't mean anthing either....there's a
lotta shit i haven't heard of.  I'm a fan of Hank Williams, Jr. so what the
shit do i know??!!

25) How many people usually attend your shows?
Thousands....but not always at one time.

26) What did you think of the magazine?
You haven't sent it to me yet.....

27) What song would you like to have played at your funeral?
"See You In Hell" by Grim Reaper  ('80's metal hair band)

28) Have you ever been in any fights?
Everyfuckinday!!!!! Fightin to stay alive!!!

29) Have your shows ever caused a riot?
Yeah, a few times.  Needless to say we've never played York, PA more than
once and there's a few other places that are no longer around.

30) Have any kids been killed at your shows? What is the closest that has
come to happening?
No known casualties.   One time a I was stage diving during our set and i
landed on the floor and knocked my self unconcious.  That wasn't fun, but i
did live...just not the same since.   How did i get here???

31) Famous Last Words? How would you recommend people get a
hold of you?
