at getting this back but i've been well busy.anyway.
1)our band is called 'douglas'
2)we got the name proberly when we were fucked and
thought it would be funny.it wasn't.
3)rock, with lashings of the good shit.
4)i'm jamie and i play guitar,phil plays the bass,ross
plays the other guitar,colin sings and up until
recently nathan played the drums, but he left and
we're getting someone else.
5)the scene down here is actually really good, there's
plenty of decent bands doing the rounds as well as new
zines popping up.shows are becoming more regular and
once a month we all get together for a tuppaware party
and a sleep over.
6)we're influenced by alot of things really, anything
from elliot smith to refused, back through fugazi and
some jawbox on the way, whatever really. after shows
we're more up for listening to some relaxing sounds
proberly put on some dub/breakbeat or something.
7)glad you asked that question mate, cause it's
something we have to deal with all the time.none.
8)fortunately not.more of a addiction to tea.keep
trying to stop but i'll get the shakes.

10)my favourite drink right now is that tequila beer
stuff, gets you well fucked.most of the boys are big
whiskey drinkers but i've had too many bad times after
drinking that.

13)don't really follow it too much but it has all gone
a big ain't it.plenty of riders doing some sick
shit,dude. always preferred bmx myself, looks one fuck
of alot more twisted when they bail.
14)i think we've been on 7 proper tours, two in the
states and 5 over here in blighty.all have raped me of
any money i have but have been amazing fun.
15) we've managed to get on some really good shows for
such a small band, that's good enough for me.played
with samiam,hundred reasons, burning
airlines,all,capdown,ataris, catch 22 and a bunch
more.looking forward to more of the same.
16) dunno, what's selling out......really, i don't
know, everbodies ideas of that is differant,so i ain't
gonna care about it too much.we're gonna be true to
what we started out to do, which was to write music
the way we want it to sound, and do things in a way we
feel comfortable with.can't ask for more than that.

21) THE TAKE, from cardiff have just recorded their
first album and it's fucking wicked, it'll be coming
out as split release from speedowax records and the

band who have just hooked up something on
householdname records, going on tour with them this
week so that'll be good.loads of good bands in the uk
though..capdown,copperpot
journals,pylon,milloy,fogdonkey,otherwise,5
knuckle.all good and should all be listened to.

24)varies really, local shows maybe a couple of
hundred
,anywhere else could be more could be less depending
on who else is playing and where we're at.
25)our town used to smell of hops from the brewery but
they moved that so now it just smells of random
minging stuff, shit isn't too far from the truth!

hard.
