Mrs. Joanna Powell
Hi All! My name is Mrs. Joanna Powell. I have been a first grade teacher at Tanglewood Elementary for 12 years. I received my Master's Degree from UNCP in 2000. I love my job and love teaching first grade. I am orginally from Clarion, Pennsylvania. I moved here in 1997 and have been here in Lumberton ever since. I met my husband, Marvin who was stationed at Fort Bragg in 2000. He is a SGT in the NC National Guard and works on Bragg We were married in 2002. We had our son, Noah in 2003. This year my husband is deployed for the second time to Iraq. He already did a tour in 2004 for a year. We live on Walnut street and are enjoying our 6 year old as he grows.
