Well, let me see...
I don't have a lot of major skills that I can really
brag about. But I do have one skill I am proud of.
And that is piano playing. For those of you who
know me, that's not a big news flash.
However, for those of you who don't know me, here we
go...
I've played piano since I was 5 years old. I'm fairly
good at it I would say. According to quite a few
people, I have talent. But that's their
opinion, not mine. But what I like best is not just playing, but
participating in contests. The contest I like the
best is the MMTA (Minnesota Music Teachers Association) contest.
It's a state-wide competition. Which means there is a good deal of,
well, competition. They pass a certain percentage (I'm not quite
sure what exact percentage) of the
participants and then that percentage goes on to play
in a mega concert at Northrop Auditorium at the
University of Minnesota. I won in the year 2000,
and then this year as well. So out of however many
participants are in my skill group, they passed 80 kids
this year. So yeah, it's cool stuff.
That's about it.
Peace out
