Bill Barnard is truly a giant among men. Aside from his stature, which is impressive, he has done more to advance the cause of TUFF than any other wrestler. It was he who first got TUFF into the IWA report with an IWA-Wide Pacific Championship, and it was he who later went on to take a Steel Federation Title. He was one of the founding members who, along with Mike O'Donils and Lee Howe, started a little stable in February of 1996 and has watched it grow beyond anyone's expectations. He does it all-he wrestles well, he does guest shots in movies and television, he runs a charitable foundation, and he is the de facto spokesperson for TUFF. In his spare time, he fishes and enjoys his other favorite sport, bowling. No one is sure where he gets all his energy, but all agree on one thing-there would probably not be a TUFF if there was no Bill Barnard. Bill stands at 7'-1" tall and weighs in at an awesome 411 pounds. His finisher is the Barnard Special, a reverse DDT with the full force of his weight thrown into it. Home for him is Hillsboro, New Hampshire. Aside from winning the IWA titles, he has been on the front page countless times in several leagues, and has never failed to win the respect of all who encounter him. Many times, he has battled back from apparent defeat against seemingly insurmountable odds to win big. For a while, he teamed with The Scientist and together, the two wreaked havoc in the BWL. Later, he and Craig Gerbert relocated to the EEL and quickly established themselves as a dominant force. It was here that he made yet another IWA Wide appearance, alongside Gerbert in the Top Ten Tag Team division. Recently, the duo actually won the coveted IWA Wide tag team belts. In the JAL, he has won both regional and battle royal titles. He has also continued his feud with Raven. Now in the SHL, he and Gerbert are engaged in a running battle with the NVUS Young Gunns. Bill prefers to let his business be done in the ring, but he has been known to give interviews with Jim Ross from time to time. One thing is for sure-on that far off day when Barnard decides to retire, the IWA and TUFF will lose a true superstar and a great human being.
