(The TV screen lights up as the words "Rumble for Charity 2001" flash on the screen. Scenes of various wrestlers flash by....the Highlander executing a moonsault onto a downed opponent...Bill Barnard signing an autograph with two kids hanging off his arm...the Ultimate Survivor and God's Mighty Warrior executing a textbook double suplex....Hard Hat Henderson piloting his bulldozer to ringside...the Rat Pack hammering away with rights and lefts to an opponent...Big D delivering a flying elbow drop outside the ring...The Enforcertaking a couple head shots and looking unfazed...Blackie Lawless revving his buzzsaw....Jimmie Jawaya and Felix Flick teaming up to dump somebody over the top rope...The Real American Tom Frisenda standing in the ring with his white shirt and black tie....The Pitbull Joe Lewis bulldogging someone Jim Duggan style....Adam Wilder doing a baseball slide into somebody's face....Dizzy D and Acid Tripp heading down the ramp on their skateboards...and ending with Starjammer Josh Greer standing atop a steel cell holding the GBL Hardcore title over his head. The scene changes to a real-time display as cameras sweep the inside of the Grizzlydome, where 58,000 fans are roaring. All over the place, it's banners, posters, and pictures as far as the eye can see. In the ring, James Earl Jones dressed in a tuxedo, is given a microphone, and begins to speak..)

Jones: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Grizzlydome! (Crowd roars.) Tonight's opening matchup is scheduled for one fall....coming down to the ring and hailing from mysterious East Asia, I give you The Extortionist!" (The lights dim, and an exotic Oriental melody begins to play. It is almost lulling compared to the loudness of the music that had been playing till then. The Extortionist comes down to the ring dressed in a simple Chinese robe, which he removes and hands to an attendant before getting in.) "Now coming to the ring, weighing in at 220 pounds, The Scientist!" ("Dare" by Stan Bush begins to play and down comes The Scientist, wearing his trademark white lab coat with the radiation symbol on the back. He steps into the ring and immediately the two wrestlers start circling each other. The bell rings.)

Will: "Hello folks, and welcome to the first matchup of the night. This should prove to be as interesting as anything else we've got going on tonight. The two wrestlers have locked up...and The Scientist scores first with an armdrag takedown. He's laying on the pressure, but it's far too early for that as The Extortionist powers his way out and throws The Scientist away. Both men are right back up...Scientist charges with a lariat into a sleeperhold...he seems determined to wear Extortionist down."

Rusty: "Scientist is doing just what he needs to do....Extortionist is a bigger man and plus he's been on a hot streak lately holding several titles in the PBL. He's going to be riding that confidence into this match." (Extortionist slams a couple elbows into Scientist's ribs, turns, and delivers a kick to the midsection. He follows up with a snap DDT, then drops another elbow into the ribcage. Scientist rolls out of the ring to reconsider his strategy.)

Will: "Looks like the Scientist needs a little time to himself, but I don't think he's going to get it! Extortionist has just slid himself under the rope and is in hot pursuit! He grabs Scientist from behind...WHAM! Full nelson slam on the concrete! And he rolls the Scientistback in the ring. Extortionist to the top turnbuckle...here he comes with a moonsault..NO Scientist got his knees up in the nick of time!"

Rusty: "Yeah, Scientist was just playing along. That's what he does best....outthink opponents. I taught him in training camp...he can take a lot worse than a slam on concrete! But I got a lot of respect for Extortionist, even though the guy's not in TUFF anymore. He's got a lot of tricks up his sleeve too, and this match is far from over." (The Scientist has Extortionistbacked into a corner and is hammering away with kicks. Then he leaps up to the second rope, grabs Extortionist's head, and falls backwards. Extortionist gets flung out into the middle of the ring. Scientist chases him down and locks on a Sharpshooter. Visibly in agony, Extorsionist starts making the long crawl to the rope. Scientist grits his teeth and fights harder. It becomes a clash of wills, but ultimately Extortionist grabs a rope and Scientist is forced to relinquish the hold.)

Will: "Man! These guys aren't playing around! Look at that!" (In the ring, Scientist is dragging Extortionist back to the middle of the ring. He locks on a figure four leglock and again goes to work on the legs of Extortionist. The Extortionist winces in pain and falls back to the mat. Immediately the ref begins his count, but stops when Extortionist realizes what is happening. He inhales sharply, then sits up and throws out a right hand. He has latched on a claw and is squeezing the pressure points in Scientist's face!) "Now there's some unorthodox stretegy! I don't think Scientist could have anticipated that....and now he's releasing the leglock and standing up. Extortionist is still holding on with that right hand, and now here comes a left hook! Scientist is staggering...Extortionist limps after him and grabs him from behind again!"

Rusty: "But the damage has been done, Will! Extortionist's not at 100% anymore..he's going to have to dig deep here." (Extortionist sets up for an Atomic Drop, then reconsiders as his knees visibly buckle. He switches instead to a German suplex. He pulls Scientist back up by the hair and Irish whips him into the corner post. He limps over again...another Irish whip!) "Scientist is getting flung around like a rag doll here. He's gonna have to buckle down soon, ‘cause he ain't good for much more of this!" (Scientist staggers into a bear hug from Extortionist, which turns into a belly-to-belly suplex.) "There's the pin! 1..2..no, Scientist kicks out. You know, this guy's really come a long way since he was a rookie here. Two years ago, that would've put him out for the count."

Will: "Well, he'd better get back some of that momentum he had, or else it's all over. Look, Extortionist is continuing his assault...looks like he's concentrating on the rib cage of the Scientist. (Extortionist has Scientist laid out in the ring and is doing People's Elbows on him. Then he turns to do one more, and Scientist fights to his feet. Extortionist is met with a dropkick as he turns. Scientist goes to a corner and waits....Extortionist pulls himself to his feet and gets Speared into the turnbuckle! Holding his left side, Scientist calls for his "Shooting Star" and the crowd goes nuts. Scientist hauls Extortionist over one shoulder and climbs to the second rope....he's preparing to do a backwards dive! Just as he get set, Extortionist gains his footing and pushes Scientist off. He falls, and Extortionist leaps into the air with a flying body press! The count...1...2...3!) "WOW, what a match! It was close and hard fought, but in the end Lady Victory smiled on the Extortionist."

Rusty: "Yep...it was a good match all around. But I guarantee this...Scientist is gonna watch this tape over and over...and he'll never make those same mistakes again. The kid's got a great future, and he's improving every day. Extortionist, well, we'll probably be running into him from time to time. If he keeps up with his training, he could go anywhere." (In the ring, Extortionist reaches out a hand and pulls Scientist up. The two walk out of the arena to the cheers of the fans.)
