NO SENSE
You're gone
Never again will I hear your voice
Nor will I ever have the choice
To listen to sweet nothings in my ear
Whose words of love were all too clear
The echoes of which did rock my soul
And whose memory now leaves a hole
You're gone
You're gone
Never again will I see your face
As your smile made its place
Deep in the vision of all that's good
From whose slightest nuance was understood
Unseen joys best found in dreams
Of sunlit skies and dappled streams
You're gone
You're gone
Never again will I feel your touch
The likes of which made my pulse rush
Spanking nerves while it created the heat
Filling me up and making me complete
Taking the void and giving it form
Softly knowingly making me warm
You're gone
You're gone
Never again will I smell your skin
Covered with the aroma of each other mixed in
Sweet nectar of love's perspiration in the air
Or the scent and essence of newly washed hair
Filling the nostrils with comfort and hope
That raises the head to a confident slope
You're gone
You're gone
Never again will I taste your lips
Like a sweet merlot over the palette it slips
Intoxicating yet sobering a duality of sorts
Till every pore in your body it exhorts
Like a fine desert to slowly savor
Yet all the while trying to engulf the flavor
You're gone
You're gone
Never again will I sense your thoughts
The meaning of which now erased by blots
Where once we spoke volumes with just a glance
Clearly understood over time and space, no chance
That two beings whose love made things clear
That if spoken could not be said in a year
You're gone
