This site is to showcase the work of Jennifer McCallum. I suppose that's pretty vain, but I hope you'll enjoy it anyway.
Most of the work here is of either anime/manga style or fantasy related. I'm learning to CG, so helpful comments are welcome.
I have worked in pen and ink for awhile now, but my technique still isn't what I'd like it to be.
I had a picture critiqued at the ArtCorner! Mine's in the March '01 section of critiques--one of first ones after the site revamp. Check it out if you are also an artist, it's nice to get direct feedback on your work!!

03.03.2002--Argh.
Well, I tried painting with watercolors today. Ugh. It was all going -okay- (not great, but okay) until I got to the skin tone.
I used inks instead of watercolors, and I mixed it up using what my ink book recommended, but it came out blotchy and seperated.
Sometimes her skin was pink. Sometimes yellow. Always Annoying. Had to trash that picture. I'll try again sometime, probably
with watercolor pencils and watercolor. I really like the sketch the painting came from though, I've had it for a long time now,
and I keep trying to color it. First was markers (it was very nice, until something splashed on the page. Ugh. Ruined.). I may
try that again... I'm bummed tonight.
02.22.02--That's a lot of two's....
Hey everyone. Yet again a LOOOOOOOOng time between updates. I've been doing art, just been extremely lazy about
posting it. Check out updates for more info on what's changed. Still living in Japan, and
it's freezing still. And summer will be broiling. Ugh!!!

So for my first random thoughts: I'm really annoyed that I haven't traveled so much while I've been in Japan. I haven't
out of Japan yet! Hopefully I'll be heading to Korea next month. Maybe Okinawa too, but that's in Japan--in it's own
way anyway. I've heard you can get Dr. Pepper in Okinawa. Looking forward to that!
Mmm... Dr. Pepper. ... I'll leave on that happy thought.:grin:
