My Mother happens to be my best friend. We are very close and spend a lot of time together. We like to go shopping, share lots of cups of tea and do things with my children, nieces and nephews.

Evelyn aka Evie: I met Evie when I was 19 and my Dad was stationed in Hanau, Germany. It was during the disco era and we became fast friends and disco dolls! We loved to go out every weekend to Sachsenhausen, Germany and dance the nights away. Evie currently lives in Florida, but we keep in touch. Evie is married and has two children, Alexandra and Christopher. Here's a picture of Evie and I during Fasching in Germany. Evie, I dedicate "We Are Family" by the Pointer Sisters to you!
Faith: What can I say. Faith has been a close friend since high school. We met when we were in cheerleading and she was
my maid of honor when I got married. Faith lives about 1/2 hour from me, so we can get together as often as we like. Faith married
her high school sweetheart and has two children, Jimmy and Jenna.
Francy: I got to know Francy during my MOS training in San Antonio, Texas. She was
my roomie and she made the long eight weeks in San Antonio a real joy. Because of our ranks (and age!) we were elected as barrack's sergeants!
Rank did have its privileges, though, as we ended up with a private room as opposed to staying in the open bay. Francy and I went on several getaway
trips - Corpus Christi, Mexico, Riverwalk, etc. just to get away from the vigorous training. I still remember how she was so good at finding all the
really great places to eat. We would hit the officer's club and get dinner or get away from the barracks and feel like real woman by staying at the
Embassy Suites and indulge in a wonderful free breakfast. We went through
medic training together and Francy could always bring a smile to anyone's face! She is married to a man named Bob - same name as my husband's! I
look forward to the day we can see each other again - she's a special friend! Hoo-rah!
My co-workers, who are not only my colleagues, but friends, too. Lynne, who can put a smile on anyone's face; Tammy, who always throws great parties; Carol, who loves hockey and works for my brother-in-law; Pauline and Kathy, who worked in the same "pod" as I did; Naina, who introduced me to some wonderful cuisines from India; Paulette, who can sure make beautiful cross-stitch gifts; Chris, who always kept my little boy dressed in wonderful "hand-me-downs"; Denise, who has the greatest hair in the world; Jennifer, my former boss, who got married to a trauma surgeon and moved to Florida (they now have a daughter named Jessica), and all the other great people I work with.
