One I am
very blessed to be a part of.
I grew up as an "Army brat" and was proud of it. My father was a lifer in the U.S. Army and retired after 27 years of service as a Sergeant Major. He now resides in Pennsylvania and I get to see him quite often. I am very proud of him and glad to call him "Daddy".
My mother is of German descent. She was raised in Eisnach, Germany and she and her brother were the only two siblings from her family that got across the border before the "Wall" was built. While she was in Hanau, Germany, she met my father, who was stationed there. During the course of their marriage, they produced three children - two sons and one daughter (me). I have an older brother, Chip and a younger brother, Troy. We share a close relationship and live near one another. My brother Chip is married to Julie and together they have five children, Tyler, Dylan, Riley, Rachael ans Mattie; my brother Troy is married to Joan and has two children, Troy and Austin. I try to do things with my nephews and niece every week.
I have several relatives that reside in Germany. My mother and I travel at least once every two years to Germany to visit my Oma, who is going strong at 83 years old. I adore her! My mother's brother is a very successful businessman in Frankfurt, Germany. He owns a large tennis hall and flies his own plane. I also have an Aunt (Alice) that lives in Frankfurt and another uncle named Klaus. Klaus came to the U.S. last year for the first time and loved it.
I am a happy single mom, have two absolutely wonderful, beautiful children. Bobby is eight years old and Gina four. Becoming a mother has been, by far, the best thing that ever happened to me.
