* All students' ethnic, cultural and racial differences and special needs are considereed in the planning and implementation of the school counseling program
And the School counseling program:
* Be based on specified goals and developmental competencies as stated in the NC Standard Course of Study for Guidance
* Be planned and coordinated with other representatives of the school and community.
* Utilize the many combined resources of the community.
And that the counselor:
* Abide by the professional ethics of counseling as stated by the American School Counseling Association.
* Participate in comptency continuing education essential to maintain a quality counseling program.
