Okie-Dokie...About ME!

Getting ready to start my life's story. Lol.

My first name is freaky, ain't it? Moniqa, with a 'Q'.   It was my Papa's idea when I was born. He used to travel to Australia a lot for work. The main airline down under is Qantas (kwahn-tuhs) airlines. No U. That's where it came from.

Mrs. Fragale (Ross F. Paullet's stepmother) lost a child at birth.   Her friend Mrs. Paullet had a male child (Ross, my great-grandfather) at the same time but died during childbirth.   Mrs. Fragale raised the child..
Mr. Fragale came to the United States first and later sent for his family.   Mrs. Fragale asked if she could bring Ross but was advised not to.   She said she would not come if she couldn't bring him. So Ross and Mrs. F came to the U.S., and the Fragale's adopted him.
At an early age, the neighbors told Ross he was adopted and given the Fragale name. At 21, he had his name changed to his birth name by court order before going into the army.
So I could have been Moniqa Lynn Fragale. Hehe, what a funny name.

I am Moniqa P, born August 14, 1986 at the Prebyterian Hospital of Dallas.
I grew up in Richardson and Plano and attend the University of North Texas in Denton. I was raised Catholic for 17 years before striking out to find my own truth and now practice no religion but hold an eclectic set of beliefs and look to learn more every day. I have a BA in journalism public relations and am working on an MPA. For fun I like to hit people with foam swords under the alias of Aylin, write, draw, read, and most especially- dance.
